I also spoke to my SO about the 'quantity' although he did find it more on the amusing side than anything, he said the woman at reception looked at him and went and got a receptical the size of a german stein lol (if you don't know wot I mean they are usually for drinking beer and are huugge!) So he said he did wot he did but wasn't prepared to go for round two

I'm sure your DH will feel better when the results come back, I can totally understand his anxiety

OMG Jen, you just made me spray hot chocolate over my screen.. LOL!!!!

DH's wasn't quite as large as a stein, but LMAO!! I can't stop giggling...

Karin - Yeah, I've been telling him not to worry, but you know guys..threaten their manhood and they get all anxious... He's actually been REALLY good about it, and found the whole thing awkward and odd..but yeah.

Oh, and Tammy... update your journal girlie.. *poke poke poke*

Well, hopefully you'll have some updates soon... lol.

And no, DH isn't coming with me... he wouldn't be allowed in when the HSG gets done anyways, so no point in him being there for just the waiting part.

~ CD 10, Cycle 10

I HATE HATE HATE being sick. All weekend I've been pretty much doped up on cold medication and it makes me sooo incredibly loopy. I'm still feeling stoned even though I took my last one last night before bed. It's just a cold, so it's not bad, but I don't get sick very often so I'm pretty much useless when I do get sick. That beign said, I did drag myself into work this morning.

But before work was my HSG. I'm copying/pasting this from an email since I really don't want to type it up again.. so ignore the weird bits
--
So, the hospital appointment..that was for the HSG (shoot dye up the whazoo and see where it goes!). So, I went and parked and immediately got so freakin lost.. LOL. The university has expanded and is using part of the hospital as campus now, and there was a bunch of construction going on, so it was NOT clearly marked… so I got there at about 7:20am.. got lost completely and was in the wrong building…and managed to only make it to check in at the radiology department at 7:45.. (really, if I wouldn’t have missed that ONE SIGN that was on the FLOOR (instead of on the wall like all the others), I would have been there at 7:22.. LOL. So I was put last of the group since I was the last one there. Fair enough. So read in the waiting room for a bit..then had to go change into the sexy gown, then waited in the hallway with all the other women and then I got to go in..yay.

And what fun and joy it was…took in a few mins to find my cervix (no surprise there, my dr often has the same problem), then he shot the dye up and…it all spilled out my left one in about 2 seconds flat, like, seriously, not even giving the chance for the dye to go to the other tube (They had me rolling on my side and everything)… The tech at the end took the picture and said not to forget this: no matter what the report says he believes both tubes were open.
--
So, I'm going with that. Now I just have to wait til tomorrow at 10:40am to find out what's gonna happen next.

Here's hoping that he's right...they have a pretty clear idea when it's actually happening, mine said that too. I'll be waiting for your update later today!!

~ CD 11, Cycle 10

Still sick..boo..but I am feeling better.. just feel very dry (probably from the cold medication though I'm not taking any today), and of course, stuffed up and sore throat..but I just FEEL better today.

Last night I had band practice that I HAD to go to, even though I was feeling absolutely horrid, but we have a concert next week and I've missed the last 4 rehearsals and feel very far behind and really have my work cut out for me to practice my rear off..especially since I have some solo's that last night was my first time playing..hahaha.

Cycle stuff.
Just got back from the fertility clinic and here's the nitty gritty.

My bloodwork came back good and he verified that my PCOS diagnosis is correct (like I ever doubted this). My HSG, he said, was excellent (so the radiologist must have agreed with my tech).

Onto hubby's SA.
The count was fantastic (he said they want 100, DH had 175..not sure what measurement that is, but those were the numbers).
Motility was 50% (he says anything over 25% is good)
Morphology was 2%..where they like to see 5%.
So hubby's now on Fertil-Aid, but the dr says that he thinks the morphology number is overrated and that most of the issues would stem from the first 2. But he left it up to us if DH wanted to take supplements or not...DH was laughing that his swimmers are "xmen" swimmers because they were mutant and we were going to have super awesome babies... LOL... but he decided on his own to take the supps.

So.. my dr is very hopeful that clomid alone will do it for us..so now we're starting the hunt for a good dosage. So I have a prescription for 50mgs to take daily (days 3-7) and bloodwork requisition for CD 21 to confirm ovulation, and another for CD 28. If all goes well, I have refills for another 2 cycles and will go from there.

I also have a prescription for prometrium if AF doesn't start by June 29th.

Yippee skippee FINALLY onto the next segment.. but now I have to wait for AF...darn him for not suggesting I take the prometrium NOW.. LOL.

Those are great results - both on your end and DH! Your DH and my DH have similar SA results. I'm guessing the counts are to mean 100,000 and 175,000...that's what makes sense to me. My DH has 4% morph, and my doctor sort of said the same thing...it's a teeny weeny bit of MFI, but not really too much since the other two (count and motility) were more important.

That is so great that you can finally take the next step, or at least get prepared to. I wish you all the best this cycle!

Everything sounds great! You now have a plan on how to move forward. That's a huge step in itself. I hope he supplements and the clomid is all it takes! Good luck with your new plan of action.

Yay. Pink Message of Death again:

Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing.

If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error.

And this is why I don't post as much as I used to. It's getting extremely frustrating. I get this message about 1/2 the time I post..when I hit the back button..sometimes what I typed is still in the "quick reply" box..sometimes it's not. Today has not been my lucky day with this.

So.. to retype everything...Yippee.

...

~ CD 17, Cycle #10

I haven't posted much in the last little while because I'm still sick. I've been trying to shake this cold for over a week now and it just won't go away.

Cycle wise.. not much is happening. Had a bit of a scare with my temps going up and us not having BD timed anything since..uhm..sick.. LOL.. but then my temp went back down to normal range..whew.

Life wise.. have a band concert tonight that I'm unprepared for (only went to 2/7 rehearsals for it thanks to vacation and illness).

I wrote a lot more the first time.. but blah...boards ate it.

Hahahhaa.. and the pink message again..but this time, the boards remembered what I typed.. *mumble*

Ugh, being sick is bad enough, but there is nothing worse than a cold that just hangs on. I hate that! DH had one that lasted for 6 weeks a few years ago. Good luck with your concert...I'm sure you'll do fine...in the group and your solos!

Good luck with the concert tonight!!! I'm glad that DH's results were pretty good! My DH's morphology was 5% and they said that was low? I guess it depends on the test and reproductive specialist. It looks like we are traveling down similar paths. I'll start clomid after DH's second SA in August. I hope the clomid does the trick and you get your BFP next cycle, if not this cycle!

Nice to see I'm not the only one that has this problem!!! I usually try to remember to copy my posts just in case, but I'm usually at work and so I'm updating a bit here and there and if the phone rings, I'll forget.. or if people are walking around..don't want to get caught and all.. *G*

~ CD 18, Cycle #10

The band concert went ... that's about all I can say for it. It started off with what would set the tone for a nightmare concert.. LOL. The choir was first (it was a joint concert) and the guy playing organ started to play, but the choir didn't come in on queue...he was "***" when someone piped up "that's the wrong song".

So, when it was our turn... we start the first song and.. immediately one of the trumpets comes in..playing the wrong song. Oh yes, it went from there. My first solo (piccolo) was alright except that I was insanely out of tune.. I felt I was sharp, though my conductor was indicating flat and so the only way to tune sharp was to let my breath support go a little out of control, so it wasn't that pretty... At least on piccolo I'm way up in the stratisphere by myself and no one musical can tell... My flute solos with the choir (since we had a joint piece at the end) went spiffarific.

Cycle Wise... I'm just waiting... TONS of EWCM, so I know I'm gearing up.. hopefully this means I'll have a good O since last cycle I geared up and nothing happened .. LOL.

That's about it.

In response to Nicholle
My RE believes that the morphology is so subjective. If you have a good count and motility, the morph shouldn't matter as much (since if you have the other numbers good, the shear number of good swimmers might actually be higher than someone with a lower count, motility with a slightly higher morphology). Plus, from what I've seen..the numbers each RE wants is SO subjective. Hopefully your DH's second SA gets you the numbers you need to start your own clomid!!

Sorry there were a few snags in your concert. But glad to hear your flute solos went well!

I've heard the same thing about morphology. DHs is low (4%), but our RE said with high enough numbers in the other categories, it might not matter. That's why we only are considered to have very minor MFI.

YAY for EWCM! C'mon O!!!
