Woooooooooohoooooooooooo! I'm so excited for you! Hopefully this IUI will "take" and you won't have to worry about SHG and such!

Well, I was super nervous for my HSG, and it was easy peasy. I wasn't worried about the IUI at all, and it was pretty darn painful!

After giving them the sample and waiting about 20 minutes, I got in the stirrups. PA told me there would be some cramping when the sperm went in, as your uterus reacts to it. Speculum went in (can't use lube, only water), and she tried to get the catheter in. She said she knew my uterus had a little kink in it and she was having some trouble getting around it. She did some maneuvering that was just midly uncomfortable, and said she was trying to avoid having to use any 'instruments' on me. Needless to say, I was in total agreement Anyway, none of that was horrible. Once she got the sperm in though, I started cramping. I scooted up and got a pillow under me, and was left with instructions to get up in 20 minutes, and try to relax my uterus in spite of the cramps (***?). I managed to lay still for my 20 minutes, but I was cramping badly. I was getting lightheaded and seriously thought I might pass out. When I got up, I spent another 20 minutes or so on the floor waiting for the pain to subside enough that I thought I could make it through check out. By the time I made it to my car, I was feeling a bit better, and it's mostly gone now, after laying in bed for an hour and a half. I'm kinda worried that maybe the sample wasn't washed well, as that's the only real explanation I can find, and I don't feel like this is normal.

But, I survived, and we are well timed, so I am hopeful. We are supposed to BD tonight and tomorrow, but I definitely feel like BD would be pretty painful right now, so we'll see.

Thanks to everyone who's been following me through this - I really appreciate that you all care

Jen - no one has ever mentioned a polyp before. I never complained about the clotting or anything before though. Was it you that was asking about clots recently?

CD 13 is the earliest I've ever ovulated, unless I've been wrong this whole time, which would suck. I also usually have 2 days of + opks before I O, and it just barely turned positive this morning, AND I haven't felt my normal O pains. I know the u/s must be right, so maybe it's all just due to the medication It is pretty sweet knowing exactly when I O'd and not having to overanalyze timing. Between BD and the IUI, our timing was great. I really think we're covered already, but we're supposed to go the next 2 days. I'm not sure I can really make DH go again tonight after last night and this afternoon. His sample was already of less than ideal volume due to, I assume, BDing last night.

Hope you are feeling better today. I had some slight cramping all day with my IUI as well, but it went away by the next morning. Hoping things are looking up today!

How are you feeling today Jenny?

Interesting about the polyp..it wasn't me that asked and I can't remember who did but I did chime in because I infrequently do get some and always assumned in was normal and nothing to fret over. I think maybe ill ask my doc next time I see him.

Sending sticky dust and positive thoughts your way

When do you get followed up post IUI?

Feeling fine today, but still kinda freaked out about how much that hurt and if that's normal. I don't really have a followup scheduled. I think I just call on CD1, if it comes. I have a standing order for blood hcg, so I can go to the lab for that if I get a BFP.

About the polyps and clotting, you might have read that I just had 4 polyps removed at the beginning of last cycle with a D&C. Normally, I had a LOT of clotting on CD 2 and 3 but this cycle I had very little clotting at all. It might just be because it was the D&C cycle but now I'm wondering if it was from my polyps.

I'll just leave you some dust here for goodluck.

It's only 5 DPO. Bah.

I think I'll test Sunday at 10 DPO, unless something happens to change my mind. 10 is like, the magic DPO in my head since it's when I got my first one, even though I know it's still pretty early. Ideally, I'd wait a few more days, but I don't want it to be on a weekday, and I know I can't wait until the next weekend.

Of course, I may just die of pollen poisoning before then My allergies are killing me. My medicine works pretty well, but I'm trying not to take it, just in case. Everything I've read actually says it's safe, and I did take one this weekend, but I'm trying to avoid it if I can stand it. I am close to not being able to stand it though.

Thanks for the enthusiasm, ladies. Tbh, I'm not getting too excited about today's temp. Progesterone, and thus temp, peaks around 7 dpo, pregnant or not. Don't get me wrong, I much prefer to see high temps, but they mean a lot more to me later on. So now it just needs to STAY UP!

No sore boobs yet, which I consider to be a good sign based on my history. Slight cramping today. I want this so bad.

Yesterdays temp looked good (is it a white dot because you took it at a diff time?)

I'm looking forward to seeing todays... Will you be testing regardless or seeing how your temp looks first?
