Today was not the best. Other than being my first day back to work after vacay, today was also supposed to be our first ultrasound. I should have been in a great mood all day after hearing our baby's heartbeat. Instead, well, you know I really am doing okay over all, but some days are worse than others.

In other news, I have until tomorrow to decide whether or not to take the open M-F 7-4 shift in my department. I have worked Tues.-Fri. 10-9 for years, so it would be a big change, and I'm having trouble deciding. The really sucky part is that the decision would be a lot easier if I knew I was having a baby sometime soon

Got a positive on a smiley opk this evening! It's been 15 days since I started miscarrying, and 8 since the spotting stopped. The last hpt I took was very faintly positive, also 8 days ago. Does this timing sound right to everybody?

It will be hard for awhile, I miscarried Dec 9th 2010 and I still think of every anniversary and the "if I hadn't miscarried" this is what'd we'd be doing right now... you'll never forget, but in time it gets easier. How much time is different for everyone, I still have my sad moments and think I always will.

As far as your timing, that's totally different for every woman who miscarries It's very possible that's normal for you

I'm not sure because I had to have a d&c and I tested a couple weeks after and it was negative. I think it can vary with everyone how long it takes for the hcg hormone to be completely gone.

Yay for + OPK!

Yep, different for everyone! I also had D&C, and didn't bother to use OPKs the next cycle. I just went with temps. My cycle got back to normal pretty quick, but everyone is different!

I got my first post-loss OPK+ on CD 13. It sounds like it's right! I'm glad your body is normalizing quickly!

Not sure what's going on with my temps. I really don't think I O'd yet. I have been a bit stuffed up, so maybe I've been breathing through my mouth? Opks aren't really behaving the way they usually do either. Sigh. And I will be getting up 3 hours earlier starting next week, so my temps are going to be a mess. I guess we'll just have to keep BDing until I figure it out!

I guess it was too much to ask to have a normal cycle after the m/c Woke up today to pretty significant brown spotting. It looks like the start of AF usually does. If that's what it is, I never had a chance this cycle Maybe it's leftover blood from the m/c? I did have some spotting a few days ago after BD also, but it's much heavier today, and we haven't BD since Friday

I'm sorry. It's hard enough to have to go through a m/c and now having to deal with a messed up cycle afterwards. I hope that it goes back to normal pretty quick.

Sorry to hear your cycle isn't cooperating with you. Did you get a negative HPT yet? When I miscarried, I got a negative result a few days after all the spotting had completely stopped, and then o'd just over two weeks later. Maybe your body just isn't done yet? Hope everything normalizes real soon!

That's what I'm wondering about, Robyn, but I did get a + opk, so I don't know Still spotting brown, and my temps are pretty worthless with my change in schedule, so whatever. I've pretty much given up on this 'cycle', and am ready for this spotting to just go ahead and turn into AF so I can start a fresh, normal cycle.
