Jenny we care! I look forward to reading everyone's journal!

You have to do that once in a while. I actually did the same thing Friday night . Yay for getting the shed up! DH and Inhave ordered pizza many times after a day of working around the house because we were just so tired!

I also love Pinterest but don't go it as much as I should and when I do I find myself pinning cakes lol. Nikki, it is very overwhelming but once you get the hang of it, it's additicting so watch out

Copied and pasted from my main board post -

Had a followup appointment today to go over my tests from before I got pg. For those who don't remember, I had been diagnosed with PCOS, but didn't really believe that I had it, since I have no symptoms. Found out today that the basis for that diagnosis was a very high LH:FSH ratio. Normal is 1:1, and I was near 5:1, LH was 14 something and FSH was 3 something. This is the ONLY thing that indicates PCOS - my testosterone was normal, glucose was normal. I am ovulating though - my progesterone was super high, even though I wasn't a full 7 DPO. She basically told me it was up to me whether or not I wanted to treat it like PCOS and take the metformin or not. I think I am going to give it a try, see how well I handle it. Question for anyone who may know - does it matter that the bloodwork was done on CD 21 rather than CD 3? I am wondering if this would skew those results...?

My only other abnormal result was high platelets, which may be a problem. I had them retested today, and if they come back high again, we are going to investigate that issue further. It could be a possible factor in my m/c as well.

DH's SA was pretty much awesome His count was 115 million (20 mill is considered normal) - woot! Morphology was 70some% (normal 30%+). Motility was just slightly low, and she said that his count should make up for that. I had never heard of this one before - but his liquefaction rate is a little slow, so I'm supposed to try to stay lying down for 30 minutes after BD.

So, I got the platelets retested today, and I am to get progesterone tested 7 days after O every cycle. I am going to start the met (500 mg to start, up to 1000 if I handle it okay) and we're going to BD every other day starting CD 10. My next appointment is July 18, but hopefully I don't need it!

I already commented on the main board, but will comment here too. So glad you got decent test results. I obviously don't have any experience with metformin, so hopefully some of the other ladies will chime in with their thoughts. Either way, I hope it doesn't cause any issues, and does it's job! That's so nice that DH has good swimmers...one less thing to worry about.

Seems to me that the hardest things to treat are male factor and low ovarian reserve (high FSH), neither of which we have, so I'm looking at this as pretty positive overall

Not much going on today. DH got home early today, so we had dinner at decent time for once. I made some panko breaded baked chicken drumsticks and roasted sweet potatoes. Scott doesn't like sweet potatoes, (which I will never understand), so he got leftover potato salad. Now we're half watching the NFL draft while surfing the internet.

Max went to a new vet yesterday, and Scott says it went pretty well. Max gets pretty anxious around strangers, and had behaved badly when I took him to the vet, so now it's DH's job. He is able to control Max much better than me. I get too anxious myself, which just makes it worse for the dog.

It's CD 6, just a bit of spotting still happening. I am going to start the metformin this weekend, so I won't have to worry about work just in case it makes me sick. I'm glad tomorrow is Friday, though our weather is not going to be great this weekend. It will give me a chance to get the house clean, though, and DH has promised to help

I love sweet potatoes and DH doesn't like it, so he gets plain white potatoes.

I hope the metformin works for you!

Ditto! I don't understand how anyone can't like them...they are so yummy! When I was in undergrad, I had an internship my senior year, and every day, I had to eat with the kids there, and I always brought a sweet potato for lunch...yum yum!

Sweet potatoes are one of the best things on the planet! How anyone can dislike them is beyond me. I mean... what's to dislike? It's a potato... only sweet! Where's the downside in that?

I used to going to the Lonestar Steakhouse and getting their baked sweet potato with butter & cinnamon sugar alongside my medium rare Delmonico steak!

yummm, sweet potatoes!!!

I'm glad your test results came back mostly normal. I didn't see your post on the main board. I'm mostly browsing from my phone these days and don't want to accidentally post when I can't hide my siggy, but I hope the plan works! I always laid down for at least 20 minutes after DTD with my hips slightly elevated. The two cycles we conceived also involved doggy (I hate that word). Not sure it's what did the trick, but if the liquification is an issue, both of those might help!

I love getting the baked sweet potato at Texas Roadhouse

I really haven't had much going on. The weekend was cold and rainy, so we got a bunch of house cleaning done, which is good, because we are going to need the next 2 weekends to get our camper ready for our first trip the week following

I took the metformin Sat. and Sun. nights and did feel icky, though not awful. Last night I forgot. Honestly, the stuff kinda freaks me out, which I told DH, and he doesn't think I should take it, especially since my doctor can't even tell me exactly how it's going to help. I haven't decided yet I started opks today, and it's also time to start BDing. I expect to O by Monday.

Right now I have some arm steak in the oven (it's tough, so you need to braise it for awhile). Oooh, that reminds me - my Dad ordered a beef last night and we are getting a quarter of it It's from my Dad's cousin's farm and it is GOOD STUFF. We have been wanting to get in on some for a few years, but never found anyone to take the other quarter before (my Dad gets a half). You get really high quality steaks, roasts, and ground for the price per pound of cheap ground beef. Now we just have to make room in our freezers for 300 lbs of beef...
