Ugh, big temp drop today. Knew it yesterday, but didn't want to admit it. Get to spend the weekend waiting for AF. Yay.

Crazy couple of days here. Anyway, I have been looking up REs that are covered by my insurance. There aren't that many, but it's at least something. None of the ones my OB recommended are covered, which is lame.

These are the two that I'm looking at the most:

St Luke's Reproductive Center

NEWay Fertility

Haven't done anything beyond look at the websites, but it's something. Early next week I'm going to call as well. Wee.

Been applying to jobs - so far, slow, painful and fruitless, but hopefully something will come up soon!

Thats a big step to make. I hope you're doing ok. You might want to ask over on the TTCMA board to see if any of the ladies there have any experience of either clinic - might just give you something else to add into the mix when deciding.

I hope you find your ideal job soon, I hate job hunting - it gets so demoralising at times.

Picking a new doctor is always hard!

There are some reviews on 3 doctors that work at those places and they have really good reviews for doctors. I find most fall around the lower 4 star area and these are above that.

Dr. Daniel E. Stein - NEW YORK, NY Reproductive Endocrinologist - 48 doctor reviews | RateMDs.com
Dr. Galina Karpenko - New York, NY Gynecologist (OBGYN) - 14 doctor reviews | RateMDs.com
Jesse Hade, MD Reproductive Endocrinologist in New York, NY 10022

I hope your job search goes well and you find something you like soon

Booked an appointment with the RE - Thursday, July 11.

Feeling a little down though - my insurance is crappier than expected. They only cover diagnostic tests, which I have no idea what that means for my actual RE appointment. And then, not only that, but they for sure don't cover fertility medications either. So...great. I have no idea why, since we live in a mandate state - more treatment and more medication should be covered. But it's not. So that just sucks. A lot.

Sigh. We're going to go ahead with the initial consult, and decide what to do after we know more. The tests should be covered if he wants more, but who knows about the visit. And then treatments will become a real problem.

*** you, my insurance

So sorry Jess. I hate that insurance doesn't cover infertility, but it will soon cover obesity! My insurance covers diagnostic tests and office appts, but no meds or procedures, so yeah it sucks. As you know we have paid a lot and will continue to pay as we are round 2 of MA. Again, so sorry, it's just not fair.

Hopefully your RE will have excellent office staff who can help you out by billing things in clever ways. And maybe he will be able to write you for affordable medicines. I'm excited for you all!

I'm sorry about the insurance stuff. That just totally stinks and feels really unfair considering some of the crazy things that are covered. Hopefully you won't need much MA and you will get your BFP soon.

insurance is the worst! I agree with Sam I hope they can get creative with the billing to get more covered. My doctors office has had to do that and it was a huge help.

I know we're all in the same boat with this, I just wasn't expecting it, since we're a mandate state. Like, I don't have coverage for fertility medication - despite the fact that in 2011, NY made it so that if you have prescription coverage, they HAVE to provide coverage for fertility meds. Etc, etc, etc.

The best part is - if I get a job that has fertility coverage included in their stuff? I have to wait 12 months to use it. So, just feeling a little fed up with that aspect of this.

In other news, got a job interview So things aren't all bad, right?

Interview is on Monday. I'm really hopeful this turns into something real - the position would be great. It's the right level in an organization to be challenging but not too stressful, and I really think the mission of the organization is great. They help train rabbis (either in school or they just started a program for those who are just graduated) to work better with people who are coming from all different kinds of backgrounds and to really be involved in their communities at large. All of which is very cool. So, I'm excited and hopeful.

In other news, good CM today - looking forward to some BDing tonight

Hey ladies!

My interview went very well, I think. She said she has more interviews this week and then she's on vacation next week, and then she'll bring in probably 2 round 2 candidates the week after to meet more of the staff, etc.

So we'll see - I would love to get it!

Looks like I might've O'd yesterday, which would be great. My acupuncturist taught me some meditation breathing that I'm supposed to be practicing three times a day, plus trying to go to bed earlier. We failed MAJORLY at that last night, but hoping we will be getting better at it from now on. We are just night owls and literally always have been. Even when I was a kid. So that's something we're working on.

I did some yoga today, and it felt great. I'm really considering just playing hooky and spending the rest of hte day on thngs I want to do - but that might be in bad taste, lol. There just aren't a lot of other jobs that I'm interested in applying for right now :-/
