Thanks ladies.

Well, AF arrived this morning with a vengeance. So, that's something. CD3 bloods will be at the crack of dawn on Monday. Wee. Hopefully that means we'll get something about them this week or next. I'm not sure if Raif is going to have time to go back to the RE until after he finishes his summer classes (they finish on the 25th) but that's fine. We're okay having this cycle be natural.

Otherwise, today was nice, but we had lunch with some friends - she's pregnant, and it turned out that both her brothers were in town and one of their wives - who also happens to be pregnant. So whatever. It was nice to meet them. Sometimes family resemblances are hilarious - my friend and her little brother are very similar, while the middle brother is totally different looking (and acting). It was really interesting.

Otherwise, looking forward to heading to Cape Cod next weekend!!

So sorry about AF, but I'm so excited for you to be doing IUI this cycle! I still get sad as well when I hear about someone's pregancy, especially if they haven't been trying for awhile (or at all). Have fun a Cape Cod!

Hey ladies!

CD3 bloodwork at 9AM this morning was NOT FUN since Raif woke me up at like, 3AM with a miserable migraine. Poor guy. Got blood taken (4 more vials - fun things like FSH, AMH, TSH, etc) and then a transvaginal ultrasound. He said my uterus is retroverted, which I think we knew from the HSG. It doesn't impact fertility, but it's one of those things that they need to know. Apparently, it makes the transvaginal less fun because he has to hold it awkwardly to get the shots he needs. He seemed to indicate that everything looks good from the ultrasound, but he still wants me to get the pictures from the HSG. So that needs to happen.

He scheduled us for a followup in two weeks. He's going on vacation next week, so he's obviously not consulting (although I'm curious if they're open for monitoring or not that week) which is fine. Means I didn't need to worry about Raif's finals. Our next appointment is July 30, so we'll talk to him then about what all my results are and what exactly he wants to do - whether he'll stay with the Clomid IUI or go with something else, or maybe even that we need more testing.

Either way, I'm glad to have this moving forward. I think I mentioned that Raif got in for the repeat SA on Friday, so we have all the testing done that we need so far. And then another "two week wait" - which won't be that long. We're going to Cape Cod this weekend, and then DHs parents are staying with us the next weekend - and then in between are DH's finals, so it's not like we'll be sitting around. Which is good.

I'm hoping we can do the IUI in August, but well see what's going on. There are some travel plans that might screw with that, and September is busy with travel and Jewish holidays as well. So we'll see. Hopefully August, but it might be as late as October.

I also went to acupuncture today. He thinks I'm doing better, and gave me some herbs to take three times a day before eating. We'll see if it does anything. I took the first dose with dinner tonight, and no adverse side effects yet. I looked it up and it's a "balancer" - so we'll see.

So sorry about DH's migraine. I'm glad that your appt went well. Hopefully the IUI can be scheduled for August, which is only a month away. Glad that accupuncture is going well. BTW, the "balancer" sounds like a comic book character.

It sounds even more like one in Chinese "Gui Zhi Wan" But it doesn't seem to be doing any harm.

Thanks ladies! Yeah, Raif's finals won't be fun, but it's only two classes, so it could be worse. I'm hoping we have a great time away and all of that.

He has class tomorrow, so I'm going to spend most of the day doing whatever prep we need for the trip. We pick up the car tomorrow night, and then we have to decide how we want to leave - it might just make sense for him to come home from school and eat lunch here, load the car and head out, rather than me picking him up from school, but we need to chat about how anxious we are to get there

Had a great time on our vacation! i even stayed a few days while Raif did his finals, and came back to the city with my in-laws.

Today I had acupuncture and he gave me a little back massage at the end since his next patient hadn't arrived yet. That was nice. Tomorrow I have my next RE appointment. Trying to not be freaked out about it. I just want to know what's going on!

Otherwise, things are moving along!! Hopefully I'll catch up a little more with everyone in the next few days!

I'm glad that you got some answers from RE. Did they decide to put you on any meds, metformin? I'm so sorry that you have to wait for IUI. If you need anything or want to vent, definitely pm me.

No med in the meantime. I think because I am not overweight, he didn't want to do anything with that. Plus, I ovulate. So...yeah.

I've been spending some quality time looking up the different things I could do dietwise, etc. It's really tough to know what to do!!
