One thing.. can't ONE thing go my way?

I'd decided, if I could take the kitten, I was going to visit DH this weekend with or with out Reme. Well I was told just take her, G'pa won't make her sleep in the car or anything silly like that. We'd make it work.

Then DH mentions that there's people staying at the house this weekend, and it's Easter. Which means doors being opened and closed, and lots of noise. Which means... I can't do it. I can't risk her getting out, I can't leave her locked up ALL the time.. and I don't know if I want to be at the house with a tonne of people. And then I couldn't take Reme because there's no where for him to sleep cause someone will be in there room, and then I'd get complained at because I'd have to leave before the big family dinner since I told his mom if I did take him, I'd have him back by bedtime Sunday.. it's a 10hr drive... so despite getting him down there, I'd still be the bad guy cause I'd have to leave.

This means I won't get to see my husband until the jobs is over. That's right.. 6+ weeks apart from him... I can't travel on AF... I'd have to stop every 45 minutes.. and if I have Reme... well... I don't know what I'd do. I really don't want the kid thinking I'm bleeding to death, and he's not old enough to wait in the car for me.

So I looked into hotels. Money we don't have to spend, but would be worth it... nope.. the clean ones don't take pets. I don't want her getting bugs, I don't want to sleep with bugs.

ARGH. I'm going to go curl up and cry now... this freaking sucks.

The goal is for him NOT to come home, and go straight to another job... which will leave us wondering when we'll get to see each other all over again.

I'm so over this line of work. It's one thing to be single and alone, but married and alone and a spouse that isn't doing ANYTHING to try and make something work out is a pain in the behind! What bugs me the most is HE asked me to try and make this weekend work, then yesterday tells me that his plan can't work, and he's known for over a week since there will be other company at his grandfathers. Gee... thanks for the freaking update. I got mine AND Reme's hopes up and had to dash them. So I've got a PO'd kid on my hands, and I'm officially depressed.

Oh Ashley, that really is a sad situation. It sounds like you were really looking forward to see your husband! I wish there was a way you could get to him. things will get better. I'm believing that for you today.

Nope worse. He found out he's on a possible hire list for a job in Chicago. It's only 3-4m... which means I stay here, and he goes to work... again! At least Chicago is only 4hrs away... but it's going to mean putting off TTC... which I don't freaking want to do. And he's not likely to get weekends off with that job... so if I do go down he will be too tired to do squat. thankfully I do have a JM friend I've been DYING to meet who lives down there... but still.. it's annoying.

Course, he wants that job over the other 2 or 3 because they'll bring in more money in a short term, but sort of puts the rest of our life on hold.

My foot needs to get better so L and I can join a gym together. *grumble*

I hate March... nothing good ever happens in March!

Bad thyroid can cause pain in the feet... pain so bad you can barely walk or stand... pain that leaves you feeling like you've been on them for days, when really you've only been on them a little while....I knew it caused reduced healing, but it causes unexplained bone and muscle pain at healed injury sites, it makes new injuries worse than they should be. It can make it hurt to pee.. which makes sense that I thought I had a uti.. but the strips didn't show anything (little uti strips that detect ickiness in pee)....

It makes so much sense now!!!!!!!!!!

I'm doubting I'll let the OB clinic do a Pap on me... there is no way they can/will charge less than Planned Parenthood... It's been 2 years since my last one, and I've battled an STD since then (I had it then.. but it was too new to be detected... Unfortunately I don't have time to get one done before my OB appointment, or I would.

DH should be home in 27 or 28 hours... and of course he wants to do a MILLION things on Saturday... so there won't be much rest or snuggling going on. But he said I can come down and visit him anytime. He starts working more hours next week too... He'll earn an extra $400 each week the works an extra day... so I hope they keep him on the longer hours... someone needs to pay for my doctors visits!

What was the STD, if you don't mind me asking? I had HPV, and I always want to talk to other women who have had it to compare experiences. If you don't want to say, though, I completely understand.

I had chlamydia which is known for causing PID (Pelvic inflammatory disease)... which can cause all sorts of fertility issues. I just assumed since I was tested AFTER being with DH for the first time, and had been tested between him and my previous partner (and there was more than 6m between them) that I was fine... And since they never sent him his results, we assume they were negative. Of course getting him to call and find out, is like pulling teeth from a moose. Of course, now that he's got the eye infection that Will NOT go away, he's starting to wonder if he/we still have it (chlamydia in the eye sucks, it's like pink eye on steroids). I haven't had any symptoms since treatment last summer (we suspect, and have been told, that the treatment is what caused us to miscarry in July).. and I had a LOT of symptoms prior to that, I felt like a whole new person after the round of antibiotics, prior to that I'd been on abx for UTI's 3x in 8m.... how, when they ran every test under the moon on me 3x they didn't pick up on the chlamydia I will never know....

I'm really sorry about the chlamydia. I've heard that it's really common, but it can be tricky to detect because women often don't have symptoms. The HPV was kind of the same way. They caught it early during a pap smear and watched it, but I ended up having to have the LEEP procedure done where they basically burn the HPV cells off your cervix. The doctor claimed that it doesn't always cause infertility, but I'm starting to wonder. He said HPV is really common, but still. I'm going to be kind of mad if the LEEP procedure does cause me to be infertile.

LEEP doesn't usually cause infertility, Dr is right there. BUT, make them watch your cervix when you do get pregnant. I've known people who've had LEEP to have Incompetent Cervix (dilate too early) and people who no longer dilate anymore than needed for AF.

PID can cause blocked tubes, causes pain during intercourse (which we've been battling for a long time), and infertility (from the blocked tubes usually). I've seen a BFP since the infection... so I know at least one tube is open enough to get knocked up... the big downside is there will be no way we can afford an HSG unless DH works full time for the next year (not likely).. or I suddenly get a full time job. They treated me for PID when they did the infection... but they can't reverse any damage that might have been done.

I'm still holding onto the hope that regulating my thyroid will magically fix me. LOL. A girl can dream right? I've always had pain during intercourse in some positions.. and that seems to be our issue... it's just worse now.

I was in BRU today.. I'm such a sucker for punishment. I should be either in the early stages of labor, or already have had Hope (her edd is Sunday/Monday)... not walking around BRU looking lost. But at least I got to look at the stroller and car seat I've been looking at and am now sure they are what I want. I even got to try to see if I could carry a 20lb baby in it.. and I can. LOL.

I did read on the warnings about the incompetent cervix being a possible side effect of the LEEP. Would that mean that I could possibly have a stillborn?

it's a possibility yes, but a good doctor will keep an eye on your cervix after a LEEP. If it appears weak, they can put a stitch in it, which helps keep it closed.

*depressing*

T- minus 30 minutes until possible EDD #1. Hope should either be here, or be within my very stretched womb. Her name would probably be Khale (Kalli, short for Khaleesi), and she would come with a full head of hair....

but she isn't coming... she isn't here. She's gone. I'm so glad Dh is coming home. Even if I can't share this with him like I can you, just knowing he's here will help.

Hey there... Sorry it's been a bit since I've been able to write in here, but I've kept up on my reading. I am so happy you got this weekend worked out and DH is coming home (or likely IS home). So great. I know how it is with pets. I had 3 dogs when I was 21/22 years old, fresh out of college, so basically my entire adult life I have had to account for them to do anything. It's funny, we have a good friend who is a bit younger, got married last year, and they just got their first dog. He always would make comments on various things related to care of our dogs, not really understanding it. (Especially when we would talk about a middle of the night trip to the emergency vet or dropping some exorbitant amount on a vet bill). Now he has a dog. And now when we have gone out for dinner or drinks (mostly DH) he will have to leave early or his wife will be late or whatnot because they have to go let the puppy out, etc. He gets it now, and totally admits it ANYhow.

Hope you guys have a nice weekend together!!

Ty Karin. So far it's been nice. He got home around 1am, we went to bed at 4. Nola and I slept on the couch. lol. DH needs a fan on, and I still have my cough so I couldn't rest. So I came out so I could get some sleep. So now I know spazzcat CAN sleep while I sleep.. she just usually chooses not to.

Now she's snuggled up growling at DH. She's not quite sure what to make of him, poor little thing.
