I picked up Chicken breast hot dogs last night.. they have ... unique taste.. a cross between chicken breast and deli meat. Not entire bad. Of course, I forgot to put the left overs away *head desk*, so now I sad

Quinoa is a rice like grain that has a very nutty texture. Bitter if not prepared properly. We tried it a while back, and while we liked it, we struggled to get it down. I'm thinking it'd be very good in my soups, I just never remember (and it would be nice to get the barley out.

The key is it's gluten free. People with Hashi's often struggle digesting gluten properly, leading to bloating, upset stomach, and issues going #2 properly. Since I was diagnosed with IBS in 2000 and refuse treatment for it (the 6m I did made me 100x worse) I've just suffered. If I can cut some gluten out and see how my stomach feels, I'm going to. I'm not going GF, I already struggle finding things I like and want to eat while avoiding as much soy as possible... and soy is more important right now than Gluten.

I'm thinking tonight will be goulash, tomorrow or Saturday will be beef and broccoli. I want to tenderize the fajita strips and forgot to do it last night.

I'm honestly not all that sore today. I think my wrist hurts more than anything else. Which is FANTASTIC. I mean, I can feel that I did more than usual from head to toe, and I'm pretty sure I am not walking today since it's calling for rain. Will see what happens when Reme goes home, his mom might want to do a walk anyway. I don't think I'll do the 3 miles again though. At least not with the dogs. LOL.

I slept like a cat last night. I was in bed by 12:30 (unheard of) asleep by 1. But I woke up shortly after and just laid in bed and stewed over something (long story) for a bit, and then went back to sleep. I figure I got 10.5 hours of sleep and even then I was so tired I kept nodding off until I sat down at the computer... and am STILL tired now an hour later.

Today is DH's pay day, and since he was sick and missed a day.. owie on the pay check. With his company, if you miss a work day, you don't get your living expenses for any non work days in the period. So he missed a day, wasn't scheduled Saturday and sunday, so he lost 3 days per diem. And lost a 10/12 hour day. In total for just one sick day, we lost over $600 before taxes. Owie. But at least he knows he has 3-4 more weeks work at this place, so I should be able to keep our savings right where it is this morning (since I'm about to write a check for over two thousand dollars for Taxes... *cries*)

AF didn't stick around long, and wasn't incredibly heavy. I was sort of surprised. I'm going to call tomorrow about my pap and see if I can get in sometime next week, since this dummy forgot to do it last cycle. I'm thinking about going to see DH next weekend. Yes, it should be O time... so you're not surprised at all. But he does have weekends off right now, and spending some time with him would be nice. If I leave Friday morning, I get there about the time he gets off of work and I leave Monday morning when he does (or a few hours later depending on how I sleep). I don't know if I can take Nola to this hotel. but I think that at 4m old she would be ok for a weekend by herself. She's not a tiny fragile kitten anymore. I think she'd be lonely yes, but I don't think she's' likely to hurt her self or get stuck and I could leave my keys with Reme's mom, I'm sure she'd check on her for me and make sure she has water (water is my main worry. I don't want to encourage drinking out of the toilet, and she drinks like crazy. But she also plays in the water, so it doesn't last as long). But who knows, I might change my mind entirely. And if she could come with.. I think I'd bring her. lol. I need to get her a pet harness for the car so I don't have to crate her.

I recently made a Quinoa recipe with black beans and peas that was pretty tasty. I have made a few bad Quinoa dishes before that though. . . it took a little practice.

I think it is exciting you may go visit DH! Especially during O time I think Nola would be fine if the hotel wont allow her. She may complain when you get back though. I got Thor a pet harness recently and I think he kinda likes it now. . . although he pretended he couldn't walk in it the first few times we put it on him - he can be such a drama queen I am also totally that person who has a leash so I can walk him if I need to...

Quinoa is our go to for lunch recipes. We make several kinds too - it's great at room temperature, also, which is super useful.

My mom recently decided to go fully gluten free after struggling with her diet for years, and it has really helped. A lot of it has been trial and error to find things that she likes, but she really has done okay - a lot of the substitutes are much better than they used to be, thank goodness! She also is going organic, which has meant another shift in diet, but she's on a health kick, so I get it.

Yup, we have the leash too. She doesn't mind walking now that she's figured out leash and harness means she's going outside.

I'm thinking I'm going to pick up a car harness kit and attach her to the car seat tether anchors (may as well get some use out of them).. that way she has a little moving room and won't have to be crated.

New Bras came today, I ordered two new ones last week.. and they're so pretty. I'm gonna feel nice and sexy

Chance of showers all weekend, I guess I'll be digging out the swimsuit. LOL

So yesterday I choked down the lemon water... i couldn't bring myself to do it today...

So this is what I did..

1oz lemon juice, 500ml water (room temp). drink the lemon, drink half the water. I put the rest of the water in the bottle next to it that's full of ice.

And here was dinner (and tomorrow's lunch.. and dinner. lol)

Gluten free!!!!! I had a rather large serving.. and I don't feel bloated or icky! I think when I need bread next I'm going to buy a gluten free loaf and see if that helps any (I don't eat a whole lot of bread).

I want to make banana bread... I should go pick up a bag of GF flour too

For GF baking, I suggest getting a GF recipe or buying a GF mix - it doesn't substitute on a one-to-one ratio with regular flour in recipes But I like that you're feeling better with it!

Hope you don't mind me jumping in here.... I make a Quinoa salad to eat out of several days for lunch... 1.5 cups of salted Quinoa cooked-- I add, finely diced, onion, bell peppers, shreds of carrots, kidney beans--season with pepper, ginger (or a cumin for a different flavour), add some parsley--- then pour a dressing of olive oil, apple cider vinegar, juice of one lime and sugar, mix well while pouring so it incorporates well........ great lunch....and if you get stalled it is great sprinkled over a green salad for protein..........

I'm sorry you didn't make it to the pool. I'm glad that you got to talk to your DH, though, and hopefully you will feel better after being able to rest exercise-wise for a day. Sometimes I can work out harder if I've rested for a day.

My legs stopped hurting today... but I had to run more errands so I didn't get much done. At least on errand days I'm on my feet and moving around.. but I'm not allowed to classify it as exercise.

Nola got a new harness . I'm not putting her in a carrier for the trip, I'm going to tether her to the car seat tethers in my car. I personally feel it's cruel to put a cat in a 17x9x9 space for 8-10 hours in a car with poor air circulation. She'd likely end up with heat stroke even if I put the air on high enough to need gloves and a hat.

It will give her enough room to stretch her legs, and lay in her bed, but not enough room to get up under my feet.

So I took my weight loss progress photos on Wednesday. And I cried. I was disgusted. I looked back at 2 years ago, and cried harder. Went back to January 2011... and seriously though I was going to throw up. I'm not willing to share the photos... I know I put a photo on FB from Old Navy, but I was "sucking it in". The good news is I got on the scale this morning and was FLOORED by the number.

223.2!!!!!!!

Less than one pound to go until I've lost 10lbs!

I was obviously still bloated from AF when I did my pics and measurements. Since Wednesday I've lost .5" off my hips, 3/4" off the area above my belly button, 1" off the area below my belly button, 1" off the area around my belly button, .5" off my ribcage, and .5" off my neck. Nada off my boobs.. BUT I am wearing a new bra that is probably holding me up better. So over all I lost 4 1/4" !!!

So my plan is to continue everything I'm doing, until I get a bfp.

And I just noticed that the Raspberry ketones aren't supposed to be taking before bed, they can cause trouble sleeping. Guess that explains that. Might also explain why I am hungry again at night, when I wasn't before. I guess I'll start taking them earlier.

I hear ya on the cat carrier thing. I had to bring my two cats on a 5 hour drive when we moved last year and I felt horrible about using them. But I had my dog in the car too and couldn't tether them to the seats without them maybe being trampled by the dog if I took a quick turn or hard stop.

Congrats on the weight loss. I need to get on that too

I used a big crate last time, but there's no way to keep it cook in my car in the summer. Reme sweats in the back seat, even if I'm so cold I want to cry up front. One of the reasons's we're replacing it before we need to put a rear facing car seat in it. That and the crate is being used by the owners this time.

I ordered her tether today... and bought one from a local store. Very different. Who knows if any of them will work properly. oi. The nice thing is it's long enough that if I was to travel with her and Reme, I could still tether her in the back, and she could jump over the seat and lay in her bed, or roam around in the back. She won't have the full back to roam this time, since I do have some stuff to take with me. I figure I'll pack as much of it as I can right back by the hatch and behind the passengers seat. She'll have more room on the way home

We are thinking something like this for the future once we get another van. We'll get one that's designed for a rear bench seat, so I can use it on either.

Now I'm trying to decide on snacks for the road on Friday. I was thinking cherry tomatoes as one option. I'm taking a small cooler and frozen water bottles. I guess I could do a few hard boiled eggs that are shelled as a good protein. But that's just not going to keep me full for 9 hours. I will hit at least one McDonald's or Starbucks for a heavily caffeinated high calorie drink. LOL. i usually travel with beef jerkey, but I've been trying to watch how much sodium I'm taking in... and there's way too much in jerkey! If my cooler was bigger I'd pack myself some egg salad sandwiches (mmm nom nom), but it's just not big enough

I don't like blueberries (which is a crime considering one of the things that is abundant where I grew up, is blue berries).

I've never had frozen grapes. Do they freeze solid? I also have reeeeeally sensitive teeth, I don't chew ice because it can make my teeth ache for hours. I'm guessing that would be an issue with frozen grapes?

I'm gonna take cherry tomatoes... was thinking maybe nuts? string cheese? apple slices? maybe a few boiled eggs kept in my lil cooler (the cooler only holds a 6 bottle pack of soda.. so it's not very big... and I plan to freeze the bottles so i'll have cold water to drink). I guess a small thing of jerky would work... I just tend to eat the large bag I really like jerky.

Bah.. life was easier when jerky, m&m's and pepsi max was my car food

I need to take a picture of the thing that came with my tomatoes last night... super cute little container!

Hmmm...maybe you could freeze the grapes and let them thaw for a half hour or so before you ate them? I would just suck on them for a while like a mint until they thawed. But I understand about the sensitive teeth.

Just pulled down the cooler, and it's full of mold. *cries*

All I have now is a lightly insulated over sized lunch bag. BLAH.

I'm going to start kicking that man in the rear.. he NEVER puts things away right. I'm sure once he cleans it it will be fine.. but I'm allergic to mold, and asthmatic... I'm not doing it.
