Yeah. Rubbermaid ones are ok if they say "non toxic" (they will say do not ingest, but that's cause you shouldn't eat random stuff, and it will make you feel sick if you do)... they're made with Propolyne Gylcol. Many other brands, are made with Ethelyne Glycol (I'm sorry to any Chemistry people... I prolly butchered those).. which is the main ingredient in Antifreeze.

Nola managed to unzipper the lunch tote I used on the weekend and nommed on one of the freezer packs. The vet wasn't overly concerned.. told me that I could bring her in to Kitty ER and she'd 1- die from Antifreeze poisoning and I'd get a $3000 bill, or 2- she'd be fine, maybe throw up a bit cause she didn't eat antifreeze, and get a $3000 bill. My call. Wasn't very tactful, but got her point across. a 7lb kitten ingesting any amt of antifreeze isn't going to have much of a chance...I was able to find the safety sheet on the product, and while it could have made her vomit... it wasn't likely to kill her unless she continued to be ill from vomiting (she didn't throw up at all.. I think I got most of it when I shoved her into the sink under running water and risked her chewing off my finger as I poured water over her mouth....).

I didn't want to talk about it for fear of judgement, because DH is very anti Vet. He's ok with general care.. shots if needed, spaying, treating an open wound or a break... but he's not for life saving things. If Nola got Cancer, we'd keep her comfy or we would put her to sleep, but he wouldn't pay for Chemo. If she got run over by a car, likely we'd put her to sleep. He doesn't believe in spending large sums of money on people's health care... he believes even less in spending on pets. We would never let her suffer, she would at least get comfort care.... but I'd never get him to consent to much more than that. I was brought up this way, and while I'd probably try and do a little more than he would... I also understand that spending $3000 on my kitten is just not something feasible. We need UHC for all, furbabies included. LOL

I feel a bit better about the other thing now too. A friend with some experience talked with me for an hour this morning and calmed me down. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have a better idea, but will likely share in the hideaway, not in here.

Now I must get off my butt and get stuff done. I have laundry to do, a house to clean, sheets to change and lasagna's to make and freeze (Dh's new room he's moving to this week has a kitchen!!!! so I'm making him some lasagna's he can take out and eat on the weekends). I got up early so I'd have lots of time. He gets off work at 4:30 my time, has to move to his new room, and get food and gas.. so that will take about an hour so he should roll in between 10:30 and 11:30pm tonight! I know It was only a few days ago I saw him... but man I miss that big lug!

Ok.. here's a bit of a run down of the last few days.

1- I saw 119.1 on the sale this morning. I did a major happy dance. I got a new scale yesterday, it's very much on par with the old one weight wise, just has more bells and whistles. I also got a body fat caliper, new measuring take that makes body measurements SOOOOO easy, and a weight set (3,5 and 8lb dumbbells).

2- We are doubting my Ovulation date based on my chart. Now I only chart CM, opks and ovulation pain so my chart looks weirder than most peoples. I'm now thinking a Thursday or Friday Ovulation instead.. which since I had a headache on Saturday, that makes PERFECT sense. And would put me at 7dpo, not 10dpo. Af's show up time will be what confirms.

3- The thing I was being so secretive about was ICAC showed up at my door. They deal with child pornography investigations. Our IP has popped up a few times, so they wanted to check DH's computer. It was clean, so we're unfortunately on a long list of IP's that have been used, likely by an over seas ring. But we were rather upset, since when you download large quantities of adult photos, you really never know what might be slipped in there. It was scary, I never doubted my husband for one second.. but it's scary none the less. But all is well and things are fine.

4- Dh is home!!!!!!!!!!! Only until Monday, but he's still home. And amusingly, he's been here since Thursday and we haven't dtd yet. He's been just too tired

My appetite is shot. Seriously, it's jumping between concerning and fantastic. I eat when I'm hungry, so I'm not starving myself by any means. I just don't have the appetite to eat huge meals anymore. I'm not used to it. I've been able to polish off trucker sized meals since I was 12.. and while I'm sure if someone took me home and put my grandmother's big dinner in front of me I'm sure I'd eat two plates.. but regular food? daily food? nah. Last night had one fajita and a few chips for dinner... that's truly unheard of for me! I can't finish a take out meal, no matter how hard I try (I'm talking a burger and regular fries)... I know this is why I'm losing the weight, and I'm happy to keep it!

Which leads me to wonder... do I want to be pregnant? I'd love to keep losing the weight. I'd love to see 210 before I got pregnant... but then again.. do I want to wait? no. LOL. It's quite the roller coaster going on in my head. It is likely I would lose some weight in the first trimester, and then I can just focus on good choices, keeping as active as possible while pregnant and hoping for the best!

So I'm sorry I've been so quiet... but I should right as rain now.
SmilingSam likes this.

Glad to hear some positive news. Scary about the child porn investigation. It's weird to think hackers can use your IP like that.

yeah they've been chasing it all over Wi.. no luck catching them yet. It makes me want to cry to think that children are being abused for the sick pleasure of very very disturbed individuals. I don't understand how people can do that stuff to babies

My 3rd Grade teacher got dinged for child porn last year. it really makes me ill to think he spent nearly 40 hours a week with 3rd -5th graders for over 30 years.... and had an obsession with child pornography.

I'm sorry you had to get your computer checked. It's crazy that they could be using other peoples' IP addresses. Some people are so sick. I'm glad yours came up clean.

I'm glad Nola is doing ok, silly furbabies giving us headaches! At least they keep us on our toes right lol! Meg's done some pretty stupid things over the years, but eating anti-freeze hasnt been one of them

I'm so sorry about the IP issues, that so scary that they showed up at your door. I would have been upset too. I'm glad its all cleared up now, its so scary that someone can use your IP like that and just disappear.

Yay for DH being home! I hope you've had a good weekend together!

Oh and I totally understand where you are with the weight loss thing...keep loosing or get PG

I guess I'll just leave it up to Biology. I have the best chance at conception, pregnancy and what not at a lower weight, so it may not occur. Or it might. If we didn't get it this cycle, it will probably be July or August to try again. so that will be another 6-8 weeks to lose more weight.

I'm going to start using my little weight set tomorrow after DH is gone. And hopefully back in the pool next weekend. Any walks will depend on how bad AF is if/when she shows. And if she doesn't show, I'll probably be too tired to move

So sorry about AF. GL with the weight loss. I pondered the same thing during my weight loss journey. At this point, at almost 2 years of trying, I want to be pregnant now. I don't care about the 5-10 lbs I still would like to lose. In the meantime, I'm working on losing that 5-10lbs. Something to do while I wait to conceive.

We had a good weekend. It wasn't long enough though. LOL. And Dh had to drive back through Memorial Day Traffic. At one point he was going 4mph on the Interstate! So he gets off on a service road, gets ahead of the pack of traffic and cannot for the life of him figure out WHY it's going so slow. To say he was annoyed is an understatement.

Well... AF still isn't officially here as of this posting. I mean, I'm still spotting a bit, I feel like she's coming. But as of the last time I peed (10 min ago) I didn't need a pad, or even a liner. I don't think I'm pregnant, but I did manage to squeak out a 12 day LP going off the darkest opk I had. Which is a lot better than the 11 day one I feared I was getting.

And for viewing pleasure:

This was yesterday's cheapie:

This is this mornings:

Today would be 13dpo. If I make it to midnight with out needing a pad, it will be the longest LP I've had that didn't involve a Chemical Pregnancy since starting to ttc in Dec 2011. My only two 13 day LPs were in July and November... Hope and Konnor. My cramps are starting to pick up a little bit though.. I don't see me making it to Midnight.

It is still entirely possible that I'm only 11dpo however... it could really go either way. lol. My body is such a pain in my rear sometimes. I need one of those little turkey pop out timers *ding* ovulation complete.

Now I'm off to the store to buy some Glucosamine. See if I can ease up some of the pain in my joints that has come on from the exercise. Plus I've damaged so many of them over the years, it really can't hurt. Course, I refuse to take another pill, so I'm looking for the concentrated Joint Juice liquid... or a gummy

AF showed this evening. Stupid AF.

I'm in panic mode. DH needs lotion made within the next 2ish weeks. I have enough Shea butter here to make a small container. The seller I buy from on Amazon...is showing 0 product available. And the shipping through their actual website works out to be almost 1/3 of the over all total!

I don't know what I'm going to do. He needs the lotion... but he's not going to want to pay that much for the ingredients!

I am sorry about AF. That is a real bummer!! Positive news on a longer LP cycle though so hopefully this next month is it for you!

That is crazy about the whole child porn thing. I am so glad that they got it resolved but I cannot even imagine the stress it put on you during that time.

I don't even know when I'll get to see DH again... "next cycle" could be Sept or October. *cries*.

I get to go bug our office today about lease options. We may not hear about the new job before we need to renew our lease. We don't need or want two apartments this time.... but unless I know by Saturday, I have to renew us. I'm hoping when I go over they tell me that if the apt's empty they can try and rent it even if we are under lease.... we are very close to several post secondary schools, and we are always full of college kids in the late summer/early fall. Our Lease is up now at the end of July...They have a month to month fee, and we just can't afford it incase the job doesn't pan out. It would up our rent by another $100 a month.. and we are restricted to which months we can even give notice to move out in. *sigh*.

I'm hoping the tell me if he gets the job, just to store everything and they'll throw it on the roster for fall rentals.

The big problem is me getting all the things fixed that we've messed up... like installing blinds and removing curtains, patching up holes and touching up paint (we want that deposit back badly lol). I mean, I'd have done it all before I met DH.. it's just so much different now that he's been around to do it all for me for 2 years LMAO

Been there, done that with apartments. It's always SUCH a hassle. I never kept my cool when talking with those people.
