I did it. I booked my ticket and rental car! I actually discovered it was going to be cheaper after all to book them separately because if I pay for the car with my MasterCard, they cover the insurance! Which saves me $120 on the trip total.

I'm so excited!!!

Nothing new on the ttc front. I'm on cd.. 6 or 7 and showing sings of O....so I'm calling the cycle a dud already.

Yeah.. my journal is like a ghost town. Pretty much like my sex life. His job is killing his mojo. lol. Too tired to DTD.. so unless I ask, he won't suggest it. It's a good thing we aren't trying hard right now.

He found out yesterday that they're being moved to a new project once their current one is done. So he's got about 3 weeks left on current project, then moving to one that should last 4 or so weeks. So that gets him work through Christmas. The company is VERY pleased with the crew's work, and that will work in our favor if he wishes to keep working for the company. It just sucks for Reme since the next job could potentially be a 2-3 year job. The nice thing is this company understands that the long hours are killer and they are more than happy to give the men time off if they request it.

So if we end up moving to another job Dh will take 2 weeks off every 12 weeks or so and we'll go home and see Reme I don't know how we'll ttc, but I'm sure I'll figure it out.

Too much work is never good for getting in BDing. . .

That would be awesome to have 2 weeks off together every 3 months!!!! All that working could make TTC tough but the time off would be so nice

Well we have discovered that going more than 5m with out any real time off is negatively affecting him. He took a weekend off in October, he gets a long one this month. He just can't get enough sleep to heal while working like this. This is his day right now.

4:45am- wake up, shower, eat, get ready for work
6am - out the door
7am- start work
5pm - off work
5:10-5:30 - get home
5:30-7pm - Eat dinner, try to relax, try to have convo with wife.
7-8:45/9pm - Tub
9-9:15- bed time

at most he can get 7.5 hour of sleep a night. No one in his condition can live like that for too long. We just have to prepare financially for a 2 week off break.. and that's not easy.

Our current hope is that sometime in January he gets laid off.. and we can start looking for a no lease house to rent back home, and move (ourselves this time). He will likely have a 3-4m job this spring. Then we're hoping for a lay off to go to Canada for 3 weeks. At that point it's likely that this company could have another job for him somewhere in the country. They want him from the start, not just the last 6m this time. He's told them he can do it, but he will need a break for Christmas (2wks), a break during the summer (4wks), and be more able to go for health care than he is how. They were like "sold".

I spent 4 hours at Walmart yesterday having my car worked on.. and now I have to go back. stupid thing is costing us a fortune, we're hoping at the end of the job we can sell it and get a me a van.. even if it's just a place holder vehicle until we can buy me a better van. We need a specific type of vehicle to go to Canada next year (stow and go), but they're just slightly out of our price range right now.

Casper the ghost shrimp died today. We are sad peoples.

Woody asked me tonight about Royal Jelly. He heard something about it on NPR today (bee therapy) and I told him what I knew. I think we've decided we are both going to take it. Him for his skin, me for my reproductive dilemmas. Here's hoping that it doesn't throw me into another spiral!

I've never taken the Royal Jelly, but I've heard really good things about it. Some of the ladies on the TTC After Loss board take it and they really like it.

I had considered it once before, but for some reason though people who are estrogen dominant couldn't. Turns out it's good for both low and high estrogen because of the effect it has on all hormones, helps balance things out.

And at this rate... what can it hurt to try? we've hit the 22 month mark, are approaching the 23 month mark... and an RE has been bumped to next summer/fall... may as well do what I can while I'm still with DH (I don't think I'm going with to the next job if he's going back to his old company. We can save more money if we move me back to the town where Reme lives since he can stay with his grandfather). It will also allow me the chance to try and get a job. Not that I want to work, but $1200 a month straight into the bank would mean in 10m we could not only afford the RE, but would have most of what we might need for a Round of IVF (DH finally admitted he has a sinking feeling that's where we are headed).

With DH's skin condition, he spends a lot of time submerged in hot water. If he doesn't, the dead/loose skin doesn't come off and it makes him even more itchy. That hot water is not really helping our chances. He could take a few days off and go with out a bath for a max of 48 hours for something like IUI or IVF... but it isn't something he can do all the time. If I O'd at the same time every month like a normal person we could make some allowances.. but alas my body is a jerkface and I never know when it's going to happen.

Now of course this could all change if once we have insurance my OB decided to run cd 3 and cd 21 bloodwork and do an antral follicle count... cause maybe it is a simpler fix. I need to get DH into a urologist for a semen analysis soon as he gets laid off and we get some insurance. At least I can get the appointment covered.. there are some other issues down there that I can use to make it a legitimate appointment.

so sorry to hear about Casper

We have been considering Royal Jelly too. It has really been a big topic on the TTCAL board recently. Let me know what type you get I have been looking on Amazon recently trying to figure it out but things like that are so complicated. And I know you are an amazing researcher!!

Amazon.com: Durham's Royal Jelly 500 mg (120 capsules): Health & Personal Care

I bought this. It's from a "mom pop" type organization rather than something huge like Solray or Now foods.

Bee Pollen, Royal Jelly, Propolis, Comb Honey from Durham's Bee Farm

Apparently it says 500mg 2x a day. We are both going to start with 500mg 1x and see if we think we need it boosted. Likely he will go up to the 1000mg, but I don't know if I will or not.

TSH = 10

OB says I should do the Leep... since PP didn't document WHERE the swap they did was from.. he's worried it might have come from deep in my cervix.... but since they did a biopsy deep in there I'm not comfy with having the LEEP done.. and he's ok with that.

Bought everything I need today to make the switch from regular pads to cloth. Now I just need Christmas to come so I can get my sewing machine. LOL

Well today took a drastic turn. We were discussing a new vehicle last night... DH makes the comment "we don't have to make a rush decision." And of course.. I come back with "either we pick something now or I'm going to be spending a grand on car repairs next week. I cannot drive this car to Milwaukee on Dec 6th.. I will end up dead".

To clarify.. my car needs rear end work. It skates on slippery surfaces (rhythmic fishtailing).. just the rear, thanks to some broken somethings or other. I nearly killed myself yesterday trying to get Reme since we had a bit of snow over night.

So we did some math on what we could afford.. and set out to see what we could find. Well we put a down payment on a 2007 Grand Caravan!!!!! It is exactly what we were going to buy in April... stow and go seating, center captains chairs... and it has so much more! The only flaw to the whole car was the lack of an AUX port on the cd player which I need to listen to my ipod in the car...LOL.

Dude.. the doors open by themselves. LOL!

My goal is to not say anything about it on Facebook. That way if anyone says "but you said you were going to show us something." after I show up in Canada I can show them my new vehicle. LOL.

We are now a dual Mini Van family. We knew we needed a van if we were to actually bring a baby home from the hospital. The goal is to make this one last until DH's van dies completely, and then try and finance one that's only a year or two old for me.

Now I just need a baby to put in the van... my chosen carseat was pretty much built for this vehicle.. now I want to put it to the test!
