April 2013 - TSH 21 weight 234.4lbs
June 2013 - TSH 11
August 2013 - TSH 5 weight 211
August 24th - started DIM
October 2013 - TSH 12
November 2013 - TSH 10.8
January 2013- TSH 10.5 Jan 31st: weight 222.8lbs

Jan 31st: stopped DIM.
Feb: 9th : weight 216.2lbs

That is entirely too much of a coincidence for me. I don't think I'll take the DIM ever again. I've made 0 changes to my diet (ok.. I am eating a little more fruit, and my heart burn isn't as bad so I need less calories at night, but that's been going on since December with no change until I stopped the DIM), I'm not exercising any more than before.

And since I stopped it.. my sex drive seems to be returning. It had been returning just prior to starting the DIM, then went away. Yet another coincidence.

I don't like coincidences.

Guess what I just bought?

Mmhmm... INSURANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How on earth can I be so excited about another bill? LOL. I went outside the marketplace, which means no subsidy.. and DH didn't buy any (he might be out of network all year.. which would make it useless)... but I found a reasonably priced plan that actually WORKS for me!!!!

Starts March 1st.. so I have to call tomorrow and move back my Ob appointment into March.. I see no reason to pay $300 when I could pay $60 or less just to get it a week sooner. Dh is going to be gone, so we won't be able to TTC easily (I'm going to go visit for a few days each month before O... the problem is knowing if I'm going to O early or late.. ugh... but I want to see him anyway)... so pushing it back isn't a big deal.

It's an 80% coinsurance plan... 2k deductible. Labs and xrays are deductible waived so I only pay 20% of their cost. This is freaking amazing!!!!

The bad news.. AF has been horrible. Though it's very pain free.. it's been a very clotty AF and I am miserable. My cloth pads make it easier to deal with.. they don't stick to you like store bought ones.

Things are looking up.. or they feel like they are!!! I just might bring home a winter/spring 2015 baby!! (or sooner, but with DH going to work.. can never guarantee anything!)

No Elle I'm a slacker. Unexpected travel today meant I even forgot to schedule my bloodwork! Gah!

DH got "the call" he leaves either Sunday or Thursday... for Texas! Gah! No chance of ttc for at least 12 weeks :/

oh and I tripped over the cat, caught my foot on something, hit the wall before taking a dive onto the floor this morning and hurt my left arm. that's my good one And then I was spotting later in the day.. can't catch a break.. and still no positive opk

totally.. but it's feeling ok. It's definitely not broken and my wrist isn't sprained either.

But I still have not gotten a positive opk. Seriously, the last pee had been held for hours and hours.. and it is no where near positive. *sigh* He hasn't left yet, but I'm too sore to dtd .. I feel like I'm all cut up in there. No CM either... I have a feeling this will be a late O, or no O cycle.

The good news is.. this new job will allow me to move home. We've been looking at ads and what not, but so far nothing has jumped out. I should be home in the next 6 weeks!

still no positive opk.. but I might have missed it yesterday because I wasn't home.

The big news... drum roll please...

TSH results are in. The change in medication did it.. my TSH levels 1.66... that's a change of almost 8 points and are considered NORMAL! YAY!

It's such a drastic change it might be what's behind my weird cycle.. I have no idea.

I see the OB on the 11th.. and everything will go from there. DH won't be here to TTC.. so unless we somehow manage to pull an Elle and get knocked up with a really weird O cycle it'll be somewhere between July and January before we can try again.
Jen@FirsAve and momology like this.

He's staying in Buffalo and working in Jewett. it's pretty much exactly between Dallas and Houston if I remember correctly. He starts Monday.. which is later than we were hoping.. we are going to be in a big financial bind. But I'm putting in Notice for May 1st move out for this house... still hoping to get home before then.. we'll have to pay double rent for one month (triple if you count his Hotel :/)

I got my new hpts.. and too one for giggles.. stark white. It's been a very long time since I've seen a white hpt.. .so that's a +1 for them. Today is an estimated 4dpo just screwed up my cycle enough that CD 3 bloodwork isn't a possibility this cycle... maybe next.. more likely the one after :/

My (moms) uncle passed away tonight. He came to visit my grandparents in February for an extended visit. Last week he fell ill, and tonight he is gone. Is was my grandmother's only remaining sibling that she was raised with (she has many half sibs she is not close to), and he lost his wife last year, a great granddaughter last year, and a daughter the year before and his nephew in law (my dad) the year before.

This sucks. this really freaking sucks. We've had at least one death in the family ever year since 2010. This is the 4th on the Newfoundland side of the family. This is my second major loss in literally 3 weeks! I don't remember if I posted by my grandmother (dad's mom) passed away the 2nd week of February.

This one is hitting me harder. I wasn't close to Grammy, but we were close to the Newfoundland side.

Just weeks before moving to the US, I was spending the weekend at my grandparents. They'd gone out, I went to bed with a horrible nightmare. The phone rang, waking me up (very unusual) and my grandmother shouted "oh no".. in a voice that I still hear to this day in my head. I bolted out of bed, met my grandfather in the hall (he was on the couch). Her niece had died at 49.. her heart had given out at her baby sisters house, on the floor of her basement at a birthday party. She was dead before she hit the floor. She had me call my mom and aunts.. and I did what I do best in a crisis... I turned on the kettle, made her some toast, stocked the fire and waited for everyone to arrive. We booked their ferry passage and later that day they were out the door, leaving me to clean their house and prepare their cat for someone to pop in since I was going back to my apartment. My mom and aunt decided they were going to go to the funeral, couldn't find plane tickets that cost less than driving. I had a little spare money, so I offered to go with and help drive, and then my aunt's company gave her bonus time off (paid) so she could go too. Nothing prepared me for what we faced when we got there... seriously.. I've never ever in my life seen anything like a Newfoundland death.

Then, in 2012, the death of an 8 year old. This death was expected, but still sucked none the less.

Last year, my grandparents made a random trip down in March to see my uncle and his wife. They were there 3 weeks. They came home, only to get the call and literally turn around and head back. They spent another 3 weeks down there, burying yet another family member.

And now.. her brother.. seriously.. I don't know how much more Nan can take.. and that scares me to death. She is my person!

Gah.. this was a rambling post. But I needed to get it out because I can't say anything about it on FB yet. I'm about 5dpo.. and I had wine.. I wanted more.. but I stuck with one tiny bottle. I don't care. Bad things come in 3's.. and I'd rather it be us have a miscarriage than anyone else die.. I don't think I can handle it!

It's scary, but it's the first step for FIXING it. Ignoring it doesn't make it better - it just makes it unknown. Also, I don't know if this will help, but I heard this advice from someone who was working on a huge project. "Do as much as you can as a human, and trust God will get the rest." But it hinges on US doing the parts that we can.

Tomorrow... it's tomorrow. I called in my insurance stuff today... but it's tomorrow... *gulp*

AF didn't be nice and show early so I could have cd 3 bloodwork. And no bfp, so I can't ask for a beta... BLAH.

In a few days I should know if DH got a promotion.. if he does I'll be flying to either Dallas or Houston (who ever gives best flight price) once a month or so.. but it won't be to time O. This job could last the rest of the year
