Haha, journal spam. Love it. Funny thing is, I have a good friend who sells Melaleuca, and the gig is legit. It's not for everyone, nor are their products, but they Re very good quality.

Just popping in to say hi

Last night DH and I were going over our monthly budget and started to plan our summer vacation. Money is really tight right now due to the $12,000 we spent on IVF and the looming sequestration; but we really wanted to plan something. Well, after talking about it, we are likely not going to plan a real vacation and instead just little trips throughout the summer. We were both really sad about this as we so wanted something to look forward to.

I do have the best DH though, because as I was crying (not about vacation, more about failed IVF), he just kept providing words of encouragement and sharing how much he loves me. It really made me feel better.

I know my journal has been a downer since IVF, so for those who still read my journal, thank you! I'm still very sad about this. Probably because one assumes that IVF is the last resort and when that fails, where do you go.....

I know that my ttc journey is not over and it won't be for awhile, but my hope waxes and wanes....

Again, thanks for reading. On the bright side, I have a lot of wonderful supportive friends! Though only a handful know about IVF and other personal info, they are all super supportive! I'm also so thankful for my JM ladies!

*hugs*

I've followed more than 1 JM story where IVF was the only option.. and they went on to have babies mostly naturally (both used soy)... so sometimes the last option ends up being the reset button!!

I'm sorry about your vacation. We did a big one last year (to Canada), and were supposed to go again this year, but we just can't afford it after the jobs were cut short for him (fall one was supposed to be 7 weeks, he got 3. Spring was supposed to be 6m, he'll be lucky if he gets 2.5) But even little ones can be awesome, sometimes better than big ones (unless you're heading to a resort, not much can beat that lol).

Oh Nicholle -- One day you will be a great momma! I just know it! I can't imagine how hard the IVF was... but I'm glad to hear that you know it wasn't the end of your TTC journey.

Small trips are always fun -- and can be just as relaxing, and that's whats important! GL planning!

I am so sorry about the vacation - we are in the same boat and saving to go on short trips in the fall to a couple weddings. Stupid medical bills and sequestration But really small trips in the end can be more relaxing less pressure and still be lots of fun especially when you are going with your amazing DH! He sounds so supportive!!!!

We are here for you anytime! Vent away we understand

Maybe the doctor or hospital who did the IVF would accept a funny poem in lieu of payment for the $12,000. If so, I've got you covered.

Oh, if only it worked that way...

I really hope that you are feeling better today.

Nicholle, I can't even imagine how devastating it was to have the failed IVF. I mean you put your money and your hope in it. Then nothing. It's okay to be down about it.

It does sound like your husband is super sweet. Yay for supportive husbands! Its amazing how they can be the shelter in our emotional storms.

I'm a homebody, so I actually don't like traveling. Maybe the summer will really be relaxing because you'll get to take advantage of lounging at home together?

So, I'm pretty sure that I have cysts...

I've had pains on both sides of my lower abdomen and spotting for the last two days . I felt some of these same pains when I found out that I had cysts after my failed IUI. I know that bcp will get rid of the cysts, which I'll start next cycle (for lap sx). I also know that these cysts may prevent me from ovulating again. Hopefully, this won't be the case and I haven't confirmed the cysts, but it feels similar to when I had them before, but more painful.

In non-ttc news...I had a fun night out with friends again. It was great, but I don't think that I can do two days in a row...I'm tired!

I'm so sorry about the cysts. It's so miserable to be in pain. I hope that you feel better soon. I wish that you didn't have to go through all this. You are the nicest person, and you deserve a BFP and a happy, healthy baby.
