Thanks ladies! I had a great weekend!

Cycle #14, CD 26, dpo 8

I had a really fun weekend! Friday, DH and I drove to Happy Valley to attend our homecoming game and watch the homecoming festivities! We ate at our creamery (best ice cream ever!), ate at the Corner Room (historic PSU local restaurant), and watched the parade on Friday. Saturday we tailgated before and after the game and watched the lions take down undefeated and ranked NW Wildcats! It was such a great game, especially since we came from behind. We sat next to some really great people and it was so nice to cheer on your team at a home game (we haven't attended a home PSU game since 2000, right before I graduated)! Saturday evening we spent time with my sister, bil and niece Zoie! She is the best niece ever! As we were leaving on Sunday, Zoie stated that she was coming back with us. She even put on her shoes and tried to pull out her little suitcase! Sadly, she couldn't come with, but I'll see her next month for Thanksgiving.

TTC related news--Good news: So yay, the prometrium is working, I'm 8dpo! The last four cycles, AF would show by 6 dpo. So even though I may not be pregnant, I know that with prometrium I have a shot!

TTC related news--Not as good news: So, the last two nights, I've been having anxiety dreams. Both nights I drempt that I miscarried. I almost woke up crying the one night. I think that I'm worried that the prometrium will delay a natural miscarriage. I also have been soooooo incredibly moody and emotional the last couple of days! My poor DH. For some reason, I'm really worried this cycle, like something is wrong. ?? Of course, like every cycle, I'm hoping that I'm pregnant, but I fear that I may get my hopes up, just because I will make it to 12 dpo.

Ok, enough of my craziness for now!

Thanks again ladies for reading!

Cycle # 14, CD 27, dpo 9

So I had a huge temp dive this morning. I know I'm overreacting. I'm happy that the progesterone is working and I'm having a somewhat normal leutal phase, for the first time in forever. Of course, I would love to see a temp spike tomorrow morning, but I'm not anticipating that. I have a gyn appt on Monday to talk about our next steps, so that's good, but I'm just sooooooooooo sick of trying! It feels like it has been forever! Okay, I know that I need to be patient and it will eventually happen. I just need to keep telling myself this!!!!

In non-ttc news: I think that the party that we were going to attend this Friday will likely be postponed. Though, I was looking forward to the party, it will be nice to have a relaxing weekend, with no plans!

Having just been there myself, I feel for you this morning! I'm glad it seemed to help your luteal phase, at least. Baby steps are something!! I know it's not "enough" - nothing is! But it's something.

Thanks ladies! I know I shouldn't complain, it take some women years and years to get their baby. I've only been trying since August 2011, so a little over a year. I'm just frustrated! Thanks for letting me vent!

Hi Katie, nothing symptom wise. Besides feeling really tired (which could be from anything). I have my normal symptoms. I don't feel AF coming, but I think that is because of the progesterone. I'm anticipating AF to arrive on Sunday. I stop taking progesterone Friday night. I'm guessing AF will only take a day or so to arrive???? My DH is traveling a lot the months of October/November, so I need to time my cycle just right so that he'll be around during my fertile time. Wish me luck next cycle! Lucky number 15!!!!

Thanks Jen!!! I hope these cycles are lucky for both of us!

So, I guess, I'm still spotting and AF hasn't arrived. I wiped this morning, there was pink cm. Second bathroom break, I wiped it was redder. Third bathroom break, it was pink to non existant. I know it's AF, but I'm hoping full flow doesn't start until tomorrow. Here's why: DH is out of town right before I will likely ovulate this coming cycle. I'm hoping to get in at least two good BD days (we BD every other day, due to DH's SA). So the longer this cycle lasts, the greater the chance that I will O later. I hope that I don't O until November 1st, but I'll take October 30th! I am happy about my 10 day LP. Hopefully, each month my LP will get longer! One can hope, right!

Non-ttc news: I'm excited for a relatively relaxing (or at least more relaxing than it has been) weekend. Tonight we are going to a party, which I'm not excited about, because I'm tired and just not feeling it, but I'm sure that I'll have fun! And I can drink too! Tomorrow, I have lots of errands to run and then DH and I will go out to dinner and see a movie. Sunday, I plan on cleaning! My house is a complete mess. I plan on cleaning all next week too!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Lucky upcoming cycles for all of us!!!

Just adding this so when I look back, it will make me smile!

When I was visiting one of my best friends in Chicago a couple weekends ago, we talked about our lives, joys, struggles, etc...I noted that my plight in life will be my medical struggles. I've had many struggles in my life, like all of us, but I've had to overcome some medical struggles in my life at a relatively young age. When I was 23 years old I developed horrible back pain, due to a herniated disc. At one point, I was unable to walk due to the pain. With surgery, rehab, wearing orthotics and constant back care, I have little to no back pain/issues ever. At age 27, I was diagnosed with cancer. At the time of the diagnosis, my MD did not know what stage of cancer that I had, or if it had matasticised. I was very fortunate that I only had stage 1 cancer and that it did not spread. I only had to have surgery, no radiation, chemo, etc...Now I think about my infertility issues. Though I'm still battling this and may continue to do so for awhile, I'm not giving in! If I beat back issues and cancer, I'm going to beat this too. I'm going to have my baby one day and I will look back at this time, knowing that I am a stronger person because of this!

Again that was just for me. I know that many have greater struggles than I have and that infertility sometimes can not be "fixed", but writing this makes me feel more determined to do what I need to do and exhaust all avenues before I give up. I know that I and all the ladies on this board are fighters and we will do what it takes to try to have our babies!

Cycle # 15, cd 4

Saw my ob/gyn today. She is suggesting that I see a RE now. I have already completed three cycle of clomid with limited success. I am ovulating sooner, but not soon enough. Though the progesterone has helped increase my LP by 5 days, it's still one of the shortest she has ever seen. So the RE is my next step. She's upping my clomid dose to 150mg. I'm scheduled to see her on October 25th to have an u/s to check out my follies. But my case is starting to get outside her scope of practice. Sadly, I'm very broken, even with meds. So, I will be contacting the RE probably tomorrow after I have talked with DH about things.

Oh, more bad news. My DH is out of town all this week, all next week and part of the following week. So, if we decide to do the trigger shot. We have one day to BD. Yeah, great odds right! So, we may or may not be doing that.

Update: Left a vm for my Ob/gyn regarding above's plan. I will likely not get the prophasia trigger shot and I'm waiting on a return call from ob/gyn regarding the clomid. I briefly talked with DH this afternoon (he's flying to Arizona for work) and I scheduled my RE appt on 10/31. Hopefully it will be a "treat" instead of a "trick"!
