It's about time I start one of these journals. I'm going to post photo's of HPTS and OPKs and basically post at least once a week about what's going on TTC-wise at the moment.

But to start off with.

I'm Nana, 22 years old. DH is Dustin, 22 years old. We've been married for a year October the 3rd. Been together since '09, living together since 2010. I'm a preschool teacher and I've wanted kids my whole life. I come from a very traditional Irish Catholic family and I'm the oldest daughter to not have kids yet . I dream of a large traditional family with falls of bonfires and summers of swimming.

We've been TTC since February, with no results, no pregnancies, no miscarriages. But I've recently begun using OPKs, I've added a prenatal vitamin, B6, and evening primrose oil as well. Last cycle we did the Sperm Meets Egg plan and we're continuing that this cycle.

Anyways I'm on CD12 right now and here's my OPK from this morning:

YAY! *waves*

I've never heard of the sperm meet egg plan. the title made me giggle.. I see them in my head shaking hands, and then the egg grabs the sperm and devours it.
Jen@FirsAve and wastcougr like this.

Lmao Ashley!!! I'm on my kindle but basically the Sperm Meets Egg plan is BD every other day beginning CD 8..begin using OPKs on CD10...

Once your OPK comes back + you should BD that night and two additional nights in a row. Skip a night and then BD again.

Lol. Honestly we do a lot of everyday thrown in there too...I haven't followed the plan exactly but often DH is exhausted because he works from six AM to six PM five days a week. Right now he's a landscaping foreman doing hard labour most days (what with it getting cold and rainy that takes a toll on him) and he's dog tired by seven every night. Still wants it most nights but as long as it's not close to the fertile times I can let it slide sometiems when we're both tired

Yay, you have a journal!

Looking forward to watching your TTC journey (although I would rather read your "Pregnant with #1 Journal" ).

Crossing fingers for an egg soon!

Thanks, ladies.

Jen, I used to be more in the TTC #1 board/Newlyweds board but it seems like those two don't get as much traffic. I think I'm going to frequent TTC#1 a little more again. But I like to post a lot

Thanks for the baby dust!

The "Sperm Meets Egg" plan is interesting. We've been doing a variation of that this cycle, but I didn't know I wasn't going to O until CD 32.

Anyway, glad to have you in the forum, and glad you've started a journal! Can't wait to see the + OPKs and HPT!

do you usually O later in the cycle Nana?

I usually O between cd 16 and 17, but I've been drinking 1 cup of fertilitea a day and my O's happen between 12 and 13.

Next cycle I'm thinking about trying Progesterone cream. I've researched the brand and I found the Emerita progesterone cream sounds best, but there seems to be two different kinds. I'm wondering which is better.

Amazon.com: Emerita Pro-Gest Natural Progesterone Cream, Paraben-Free, 4-Ounce Tube: Health & Personal Care

Amazon.com: Emerita Phytoestrogen Body Cream with Black Cohosh, 2-Ounce Tube: Health & Personal Care

Amazon.com: Pro-Gest Body Cream Single Use Packets - 48 Single Use Packet - Cream: Beauty

Amazon.com: Emerita - Pro-Gest Paraben Free, ounces, 2 cream: Health & Personal Care

I have the regular pro-gest cream.

Black cohash has some very conflicting information. It says it can help those who didn't respond to clomid, but it also says not to take during pregnancy or while trying unless you're being watched by a doctor.

Vitex works great for me (I have fertilitea) earlier and stronger O's, and I was taking it the cycle of my miscarriage. the key is not to stop taking it Post O, or you can actually cause yourself to lack progesterone. (wish I'd have known that.. *slaps forehead*

Okay so do you measure it out with a spoon before you apply it? How often do you apply it or do you apply it all at once? Are there any side affects?

I've been interested in Fertiltea as well haha. I'm obsessed with all things TTC. But is FertilAid along the same lines as Fertiltea? I tend not to like strong tea I'd much rather take a supplement.

Sorry for all the questions.
