Drove downtown again for my 3rd HCG blood draw - 1 week since my last one. From my calculations it should be in the range of 1,333.2 - 5,999.4 so of course I am already anxious for those results.

Symptom update: Very very soar boobs, tired pretty much all the time, a very constant hunger. . . is that one in my head?? nausea when I am too hot (which in Texas is every time I walk outside) I am really loving my symptoms they make everything feel a little more real.

I have a conference for work in San Antonio Sunday - Friday and this weekend DH and has a bachelor party to attend so my friend and I are going to have a girls weekend while our husbands are away So when I leave this afternoon I wont be back in the office until next Monday I could really use a break from this place!!

I have the U/S schedule for the Wednesday when I get back in town (8/14) at 7 weeks. My doc told me to come in at 8 weeks but I just went ahead and scheduled it earlier. . . no one will notice right??

lol nope they won't notice.. at that point all they pretty much do is look for the h/b I think

My FX will be crossed for once nice strong healthy H/B!

I'm assuming there's nothing they can do to make sure it's not another partial molar right?

Thanks ladies

All they can do is check for any extra tissue (grape like clusters) and follow the growth - if it slows between 7 and 9 (She was going to do 8 and 10) then it is pretty bad news. Also if I start spotting she will have me come in for weekly U/Ss because if it is a molar I will need a D&C as soon as possible to lower my chances of cancer. I so wish there was a test that would just tell me now!! But she should have some idea from my first U/S. . . which is why I want to go in earlier. . .

So far I have managed to enjoy this pregnancy with out too much worry but that darn molar is always in the back of my mind. Having you ladies to come to makes it so much easier

At least there are things they can look for!!!! But the only "grape" they're going find is a teeny baby with a little beating heart!

We had a bit of a scare on Friday I guess. I got a call from the nurse saying my results were in and my Doc said I HAD to come in on Saturday for more testing. . . no more details and wouldn't give me my number so of course I panicked. Got to the office on Saturday and was sent to the "high risk" section to get my blood work done. Saw all they were taking was an HCG and a Progesterone and cause was "luteal phase defect - normally said amenoria (spelling?). So I sent myself in a tizzy. DH was out of town for his bach party poor guy was calling me constantly to make sure I was okay. They called this morning with the betas from Thursday and it was 3,480.6 perfectly between doubling and tripling so I am not sure what all the cause for concern was. . . still waiting on the results from Saturday but I should get them any time.

Symptom update - been a little nauseous but not too bad as long as I eat regularly (6 times a day) very soar breasts and exhaustion. I had very light spotting on Saturday really not much but enough to add to my nerves.

I am in SA now for my conference staying on the riverwalk so that has been nice so far but I really miss DH!

Did they draw progesterone prior? Maybe it was low and they wanted to catch a possible problem before it turned into a miscarriage?

but yay for good numbers!

Look at those nice numbers! That's awesome.

At least your doctor is prompt. I'm still waiting on all of my results from my blood tests on THURSDAY!

That is why I am confused. I had progesterone done with my first beta and it was 38.3 and the doc said that was high. Could high be a problem? Cause I thought she meant it as a good thing

Hmm... no that's a great number, the system stops calculating it at 40....

Well that's a bafflement. Maybe the doctor is just being overly cautious but wasn't thoughtful enough to warn you of the extra test?

OR maybe because it mentions Amenoria he's worried that your progesterone could start to drop later ? Who knows.. I'd be on the phone riding their butt about why they'd put you in a panic!

Not sure what all the numbers mean except for the hcg which seems to be great!
Praying for you-that the other test didn't mean anything bad...I'm sure he was just being cautious

And my midwife said the best thing a woman can do for morning sickness is EAT! Never more than a handful and never more than 2 hours apart..she said the key is "Salty, spicy, greasy" and to keep little pockets of food everywhere! And on your nightstand so when your eyes pop open, eat, don't move and just lay there for 30 minutes, get up go to the bathroom, eat again etc and eat throughout the night (when you get up to use the restroom)..protein instead of carbs (nuts are good)..she said lemonheads are the cheaper version of pregnancy pops.

Anyways I'm rambling ..but that was her advice and I had never heard it before so thought I'd pass it along

When are you supposed to get an update about what all these tests were about?

Good gracious, I hate that. I still haven't received my results from Thursday. HCG obviously doesn't count anymore, but I wanted to see my blood count, etc. It's really frustrating.

Grrr.... man I've had my doctors office call me with blood results before I even get back home (usually 2 hours, since I go run errands after)!!!! Longest I've ever waited is 24 hours, and that's because the power went out
