Well my doc finally looked at my numbers and she is a little worried that the drop has slowed but for now we are staying on course and setting up another blood draw for tomorrow because she is out of the office for the rest of the week so she cant have me come in anyway.

So for now I am just trying to stay positive and calm and send some positive "you better keep dropping HCG" vibes through my body

My hopes for tomorrow are at least below 15 but really hoping for 12 or less. . .

Sorry to hear that she won't be able to see you for a bit! I really really really hope that your levels are low like you want them to be! I'm going to send some good vibes your way and say that hopefully the number will be 8!

I really hope that the next set of numbers drops more than that.

Is it a god sign that AF showed? One would think that since your hormones dropped quickly enough to only delay your usual AF by 5 days, that it would be a good sign.

At least you can book in with her next week if needed.

Oh, and I'm totally JEALOUS of your little venture off to NOLA... we got married there in 2011 and we've wanted to go back ever since. We had such an awesome time, but didn't get a chance to do a whole lot of anything since we only had a few days to do it!

Thanks ladies!!! I think AF coming so close to on time is a good sign but I could not get the nurse to comment on it at all - but my doctor had specifically requested I let her now when AF showed for the first time. . . I am thinking I will get more answers after this weeks test.

Ashley - NOLA is such a pretty place to get married!!!! We really loved our visit there. We actually saw a wedding parade when we were there (after the ceremony people sometimes have a big band and a parade to walk to the reception site - I had never heard of this before) it looked like so much fun!! The street was filled with all the dancing guests and lead by the bride and groom and wedding party with a band playing really fun music!

I think you Dr will be pleased to know that AF showed.

Yeah we eloped in City Park, under the big moss covered trees. Just us, two friends and and the guy who did our ceremony. Was absolutely perfect for us. Then we went to Bourbon street afterward. Best evening ever. LOL. I'm such a low key person, I think a band and a parade would be enough to keep me single forever!

I went in for the blood draw Tuesday morning but for some reason the amount of time it takes to get the results seems to increase every week. . .

Since it is so late today I am thinking I wont get them until tomorrow morning. I keep refreshing the lab results page online and that doesn't seem to be speeding it up any

Just got them online - newest betas are in at 15. I was really hoping for lower but I think this will confirm that my HCG is going down and not fluctuating up and down but I will have to wait and see what the doctor says.

My new predictions are that the rate will stay dropping at around 1.5 so I will see about 10 next week, followed by 7, followed by 5, and then 3. . . (and I sadly admit that I made an excel spread sheet in order to determine the trend and come up with predictions. . . I may be a little too intense on this subject. . . ) I am not sure if less than 5 is considered 0 or if that is the actual detection limit of the test.

Overall I hope for a zero by the end of March, another confirmed 0 by the end of April and that we will be allowed to try in early May. I have no idea if that is realistic or not but hopefully sometime next week I will get to speak with my doctor and get some things figured out. I wish I could just know when we can start trying again. . .

I'm so sorry that your betas are taking forever to lower. Like you said, it's good that they are lower and not going up and down, but still....hopefully you'll be able to try again in May and get your BFP very soon!

Again, so sorry that it is taking so long!

Vent about this weekend:

We went to go visit our furbaby Thor for our last visit before we bring him home and it was great, had an amazing time, played with him for over an hour took some pics with him and then when we left. . . DH said he thinks he is allergic!!! We went to play with him before we bought him over a month ago just to make sure DH was okay and he didn't really have much reaction, but this time his throat itched and he coughed the whole way home.

I am so heartbroken - I feel like we can't have anything we want and I also feel like all we ever do is tell our family and friends exciting news about adding a new member to our family and then tell them later oh never mind that didn't work out I know this is totally different than our loss but for some reason it is bringing up all the old feelings.

I still want him so bad - I feel like a child. Obviously I don't want my husband to suffer for the next 20 years but I have already completely feel like this little guy is ours I have already bought things for him and done all the research and made him the background on my phone. . . yeah I am crazy but I have never had a pet and I was so crazy excited.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh I feel like nothing is working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for my ranting. . .

I'm so sorry that DH had a reaction to hopeful furbaby! I'm severely allergic to cats. If I'm around them for more than an hour, I will definitely start coughing, wheezing and eventually I can't breathe. So I feel his pain.

What about a hairless cat? Is that too creepy or too expensive?

Again, I'm so sorry for this loss.
