I'm so sorry sweetie!!!!

We'd been holding off getting a furbaby because we know we will be devastated if we have a baby who's allergic and had to get rid of it. Dh's mildly allergic, but he could care less.

Thanks ladies - we are going in for one last Thor visit test on Saturday to see if DH is allergic he has been so down about it and feels like he is really letting me down. I know I over reacted at first but I want to do what is best for our family and like you said Ashley - it would be awful if when we did have a baby they were allergic to Thor.

DH has been so down about everything recently - today is the last day of his 20s and he normally barely acknowledges his birthday but the year he keeps pointing out all the things he thought he would do before he was 30 and being mopey about them. I think the loss is hitting him a lot later than me. He just felt he had to be strong for me so he never really dealt with it all and now all this Thor situation is bringing up old emotions. He was in tears when we were talking about it last night and my husband does not cry and he has been bringing up the loss more recently too and wanting to talk about it. . . I think turning 30 has him a little off balance hopefully he will still be able to enjoy his birthday tomorrow. Sadly I don't have anything for him as we agreed Thor would be both our b-day presents this year. . . I am trying to think of something I could scramble together but I am not sure when I would find the time.

That is all on my vent list for today haha I feel I have become such a complainer!!

Oh and I went in for my 6th week betas today and now they just know me at the blood work place. It makes it nice and easy and I am in and out in 5 minutes. Results on that should come out by Friday. Still really hoping for 10 or below!!!!

I'm so sorry that your DH is feeling so down. Sometimes it can take a while for a sad event to hit you. I think it's great that you are being there for him and letting him talk about his feelings with you.

Happy belated birthday to DH! Is he less mopey today? Did you do anything fun for his birthday? Your DH is a pisces like my DH! They are such great men aren't they!

F/X'd for super duper low numbers, like 0 or -4!

DH was less mopey for sure I think he just needed to sort some things out in his head and accept his 30s haha.

We went for a walk around the lake and then out for sushi and sake which are some of his favorite things!! Then we went to our ballroom dance class we have every Wednesday. Nothing too big - we still have a big family birthday party with his fam next weekend (because 5 of our bdays are within a month of each other) He is not a huge celebrator - more of a reflector on his birthday.

Well I got my next results online. . . 12

I know it seems so ridiculous to be disappointed about a 12 when I was hoping for a 10 or below - they are so close! But I am feeling like this is just never going to end. So if it is 12 this week I will be lucky to get 10 next week IF the rate stays the same and quits slowing down. . . I think I am looking at the earliest being a zero mid to end April now. I am just feeling a little extra down after these results today and starting to feel really impatient. I think it would help if I could ever talk to my doc about what she thinks of everything. . .

Well now I am furious and almost in tears and SO CONFUSED!

I called the doctor and spoke with the nurse and said I would really like to hear what my doctor thinks of all these numbers now that the rate slowed - which I was told she was worried about... The nurse said "Sorry we have not received any results since Feb 7th, I will have to call the lab and have them send them over"

WHAT?!?!?!?! I CALL EVERY WEEK!!! Are you kidding?? How has a nurse been giving me opinions and telling me what my doctor thinks??? They don't even have the data?? And Feb 7th?!?!??! That means they have only seen 2 out of 6 tests??? Are you kidding me??? How is this even possible??

I told her I didn't think that was possible and that I have been calling every week and speaking with a nurse about this and she said well I am looking at your chart "we have only ever received results on 1/31 and 2/7 but I see requests for 4 others". . . What about the nurse who said she thought we would be able to start TTC in may??? She said that with out knowing my numbers or the rate my levels were dropping??? Did she know anything about me???

She said they would TRY and call me back this afternoon but if not my doctor is out all next week!??!?!?! I almost flipped out on her but ended up saying that had to call me back today and I would be calling this afternoon if they hadn't. I am just feeling shocked - especially after reviewing my journal here and reading stuff that was relayed to me by nurses about what my doctor thought. . . Seriously??? I love my doctor I don't want to change she is so amazing but this seems ridiculous.

I would be pissed!!! omg. File a complaint with someone about this as well... makes me wonder whose chart the nurse was looking at to start with!

I'm sorry about the 12 too.. I cannot imagine how frustrated you are.

Tell your doctor what's been going on. Too many doctors have had practices sabotaged because of bad staff - my dad once had an office manager who would lie to patients about how busy they were so that she wouldn't have to work as hard. He fired her once he caught on (comments by patients and then paying more attention) but stuff like that is the worst!

I hope you get it figured out! Tell her you keep a journal of all the calls, for your own piece of mind, and that this what was said to you and on what specific dates.

I'm so sorry, Elle. I would be furious, too. I think that sometimes doctors and nurses forget that each patient is a real person and that they have feelings and are anxious about their results.

Thanks so much ladies!!! I have been feeling better recently. I finally sorted things out with the nurse and verified they have finally received all my results and my doctor actually looked at them. She apologized and said they did drop the ball because they had some temp nurses in for a few weeks? I don't really care anymore as long as someone is actually tracking my health and I am not getting weekly blood draws for nothing. . .

The one really disappointing part of the conversation was the nurse saying she thinks my doctor will probably want me to wait 6 months not the original 2 since the rates have been so slow. I don't know when I will get to finally talk to my doctor about this but 6 months seems like an eternity right now especially with everyone and their sister announcing they are pregnant.

All I can do know is wait for this weeks results and keep working on ways to distract myself.

So sorry Elle! It really feels like a lot of us are playing the waiting game, when we all really want to get things going (and get our sticky BFPs). Hopefully you can talk with your MD soon and see if 6 months is really how long they think that you should wait.

If you can think of any good ways to district yourself, please let us know. I feel like I've tried everything!

Week 7 betas are in and they are 8!!!! I am pretty excited about these numbers because it means the rate went back up a little bit again!! So there is actually a chance that next weeks could be zero! I wont hold my breath for it or anything but I will take what little victories I can.

I really think a good number this week was just what I needed. I was starting to feel pretty negative about everything and now I have some hope again! Now if I could just get that 0 and talk with my doc about how long she wants us to wait. . .
