Sooo I have really psyched myself up for this blood draw today and I am sure I am headed for disappointment but I just realllly feel like it could be 0. I know it is just wishful thinking so I am really trying to keep it under control.

In other ttc news - I have no idea where O is for me and my chart is all wonky. I have been doing well to not let that stress me out too much since we aren't actually trying right now but I Od sooner after my D&C than I have in this cycle. I know my body is still adjusting and it is just one of those things but it better set itself straight before we are cleared to ttc!

It takes 3 days now to get results, I am not sure why. So I should have them by Friday morning.

It is nice but depressing how well the people in the lab know me now. They always take me back as soon as I get there now because they know it will be fast and I already have everything ready to go every time. Today when I walked in I hadn't even signed in yet and the guy behind the counter said oh you can go back to room 3 Ms. Mylastname Great service but I wont miss going when this is all over. . .

****warning birth/baby mentioned in this post****

My best friend had her baby last night. I have been looking forward to it for so long and I am so truly excited and happy for her but last night when she sent me the picture of her holding her beautiful newborn son I lost it. I burst into tears. I want to be so happy for her but all I could feel last night was pain. I finally pulled it together enough to have a quick convo with her last night but I don't think I will be able to bring myself to visit yet. She doesn't have any siblings and I know how much she wants me to come but I am just not ready. I really thought I was fine with this - I guess I knew it might be just a little tough since I had been so excited our kids would be 4 months apart . . . but I thought I was okay with it... I am sure with a little more time I will be.

I can relate to this so much, Elle. You aren't alone. I want so badly to be genuinely happy for a new mom, but a lot of times I mostly feel sadness for myself and bitterness that it's not me holding the newborn baby. It's really hard to stand by and watch others get what you so badly want for yourself. So try not to be so hard on yourself. This is a stressful time, and you are doing the very best you can. You are a good person, and you should not feel guilty about your feelings.

Thanks Reba!!! I am already feeling better that picture just got to me. I am so so so happy for her and I really feel it deep down too and I can't wait to go see him in a few weeks - I know it will be hard but I am still excited.

Beta watch 2013: the number is in at 7 - so only dropped by one from last week - but at least the next time I get my blood drawn I will be in Hawaii!!!

Congrats to your friend

I 100% understand how you feel though. It's tough. And it's ok to cry, and vent and just be upset about it. You were dealt a crappy card, and now moving on is hard. When you're ready you will go see that baby.

I will say though, After I lost my twins, a friend had a baby girl a few months later. I did go see her, and I'm glad I did.. I just went home and a few (too many) drinks afterwards.

Thanks Nicholle!!

It was a really amazing vacation and so nice to get away from everything for a bit!! I only have the pictures off my phone for now but they turned out pretty well.

Here is the view from our Condo where we stayed:

We started off our trip with a 5 mile hike and then some mini-golf through some botanical gardens:

Then we stopped off for some whale and dolphin watching by a lighthouse:

We went for some hikes around the Waimea Canyon:

And spent time just lounging and reading on the beach:

The highlight of our trip was probably the small plane we took around the island. There were so many waterfalls and amazing views that you can only see from the sky because there are no roads to get there. I got super air sick but it was still fun

It was a lot of fun and so great to spend the time with my family but it is so so so nice to be home too

We went straight from the airport on Saturday to pick up Thor!! So he is officially home! He is so big already and he is only 13 weeks old!

Thanks ladies!!

Well now that my HCG is 0 and I have a 3 month wait ahead - as I mentioned on the boards I am getting together a get healthy in 3 months plan so when TTC time comes I will be as healthy as possible.

In my plan so far:
- green smoothies (fruit smoothies with spinach)
- trading my morning cereal for steel cut oats
- I bought cuties, baby carrots, and green beans for my afternoon snacks
- a small spinach salad before dinner
- all lunches at home, and at least 5 nights dinner cooking at home
- trying to keep more hydrated and drink water all day (need to find a good water bottle)
- jogging at least 5 times a week (or very long walks at first to build up to it)
- stretching or yoga 2 times a week

I would love any other healthy suggestions from any of you ladies!!!! Good healthy recopies or snack ideas? Workouts? Anything!!!!

And here is a picture of Thor for no reason haha just because I already love him and he makes me happy Ashley - they think Thor will be about 25 pounds when he is grown

Thor is totally adorable... I think I fell in love. Seriously. Now I have a bad case of kitty fever...

I like your plan. I'll post mine, too! We can hold each other accountable!

Are you on pinterest? they have tons of Weight Watcher friendly recipes that DH & I are going to try...

As for workouts, I'm toying with the idea of starting the 30 day shred...

If you're just starting jogging, I would suggest Couch-to-5K - it's exactly what it sounds like, and it gives you the intervals to get you moving. I have had several friends use it really successfully, and am considering doing it myself.

In terms of weight loss, you will always get more bang for your buck by changing what you eat. Exercise burns surprisingly few calories. However, it will help with toning muscles, and improving your metabolism - both of which are excellent. Good luck!!
