Of course as soon as I start to feel like TTC is coming so soon something has to happen. When it rains it pours right? I am NOT going to let this get me down because I am really hoping it wont actually be an obstacle. . . But DH had a doctors appointment and found out he has a "slap tear type 2" in his shoulder and needs surgery. He has been in pain for years but it has gotten significantly worse these past few months so we always knew this may be where it ended up. Now it is official. His surgery will be May 16th and he is not to do anything that could jostle it for 4 weeks. . . including DTD!! And then he is to be very very gentle for the next 2 months and then he can start physical therapy. Wellllll he is going to need to be able to BD cause that is almost the EXACT time I *should* finally be cleared to TTC again. I mean goodness haha couldn't we have found this out a few months ago?!?!?! Insurance and doctors have been really slow. So I am NOT letting this get me down because we will begin to TTC in June! DH is on board I am just really hoping he isn't in too much pain. I am really glad he is getting his shoulder fixed and I know now is the best time before we have a baby.

I may be trying to convince myself about some of this but it is true. I am not losing my positive attitude I have been feeling this week Oh and I really am concerned for my DH and his shoulder - surgeries make me super nervous especially where you have to go under anesthesia. Somehow TTC is always the first thing I think about these days. . .

I think you can DTD without hurting his shoulder. I'll try to think up some suggestions for positions, if you want.

There's always girl on top! Maybe he could just keep his arm still and close to his body and not move it.

kitchen counter or table always work. Anything that gets everything nice and level so he doesn't have to lean

I Googled "how to have sex without moving his arm," but all that came up was a story about a man born with no penis who was going to have one made out of his arm. So obviously that's no help. LOL

So I turned to a much more reliable source, which of course is Cosmopolitan magazine. And lots of stuff turned up!

Reba! That is hilarious - I will have to check out the link as soon as I get home. Maybe not appropriate for my work comp Thank you!!!!!

TTC news: Officially 6 weeks until we can TTC again!!!!! The time is passing by faster than I thought.

It looks like I finally Od in a reasonable amount of time this cycle on CD20 which is nice but also annoying because it means I will likely O the week before I am cleared to TTC in June. I am hoping to maybe convince my doc to check a week early. . . or maybe just setting it up that way and being like oops thought it was a month. . . any thoughts on that?? I know it is ridiculous but it makes me feel so frustrated that i would have to wait another 35 days because I barely missed my O!

Please tell me if I am being crazy. . . I know sometimes I need a reality check.

I'm sorry, I always forget about work appropriateness since I don't work anymore. *lol* Also, when I worked at the court house, we looked up inappropriate stuff all the time. One of the tech people had gotten caught sending dirty e-mails to another employee, so they never said anything about it because I guess they were up to their own secret internet stuff. *lol*

If it were me... I think I would be tempted to try and go for it. No. You know what? I know I'd be trying before my appointment.

You're not crazy. Setting up the appt a week early is not that big of deal. Let us know what you decide. XO

this thread cracked me up! Getting creative is fun. When I had my hip replacement I was told no nookie for 6 weeks and of course, you always want what you cant have. We found some interesting - hip safe ways

I hope DH's shoulder surgery goes smoothly - will it be done as a day case or will he be in overnight? My post op advice is always to make sure you keep on top of pain relief for the first few days, whether you think you need it or not!

About your appointment, i'd try and reschedule - I get what you mean about missing out a whole cycle cos you missed your O by a couple of days. so frustrating!

Okay I don't feel totally crazy now - then my plan will be to go get my 2 month beta confirmation next Tuesday as scheduled and once that is confirmed I will call the doctor and try and discuss moving the next one up a week.

I am so worried she will say no but I have a hard time believing that one week could possibly make that big of a difference. . . but what do I know. I will let yall know next week what she says and hopefully be updating with another month of zero results.

I would hope that they would move it up by a week, it's only a week! Let us know how it goes!
