You ladies are cracking me up

General Life Updates:

DH is all set for his surgery on Thursday. I just found out we will be heading out to the hospital at 5 AM. . . a little early but at least I can have coffee (poor DH cant eat or drink anything after 6PM the night before)

We took Thor for his first big walk yesterday and he did really well. We even jogged around in the grass for a bit and he slept awesome last night. Makes me want to walk him every day I am sure my neighbors think I am crazy but I don't care it is so much fun.

On the TTC front. . . the closer we get to the green light to TTC the more excited and nervous I am getting. I am also finding myself overly obsessing about it all. I am constantly checking FF (as if it might change or something) to see when my next potential O date will be and worrying about if the doc will actually let me take my last beta a week early, or even worse what if she wont clear me at all I am thinking maybe I should just call her so I stop worrying about it but I wanted to wait until AF showed so I would have a better idea of when O would actually be.

Next Tuesday will be my 2 month confirmed negative and 5 weeks is supposed to be my final (but hoping she will let me move it up) So potentially 4 weeks until we can TTC again. . .

So I am sitting in the hospital waiting room as DH is in surgery right now. I was doing fine . . .worried. . . But okay. It is too similar to coming downtown for my D&C so I keep feeling like we are here for some tragedy. I finally was getting those emotions in check when that awful Target baby commercial came on. Then I was just sitting here crying. I have to pull this together before DH gets out of surgery. I need to take care of him today.

Sorry just needed to vent this out real quick.

I'm sorry. Those stupid baby commercials always seem to come on at the worst possible time. It's wonderful that you are trying to be strong for your DH. I'm sure that he appreciates it. You will both be in my thoughts today!!

Thanks Reba.

I only mildly held it together. . . DH had a bad reaction to the anesthesia so he was vomiting all day yesterday and not able to keep anything down, including his pain pills. . . and I could not get a doctor to call me back. It was really frustrating and I was borderline hysterical. But a friend brought me Chic-fil-a (yes a major diet cheat but yesterday I did not care haha) and DH started to sleep and kept down some pain pills late last night and I pulled it together. So much for staying strong. . .

It is such a strange thing how desperate and hopeless everything seemed last night and today. . . well it is a new day and things seem alright

Elle! You've had a crazy last few days!!! So sorry that DH was so sick, hope he feels better today. And I'm sure that even though you were a mess (and you had every right to be...), you were still stronger than most would have been in your situation.

Hope DH's recovery is quick and easy from here on out and that you have a better day today.

Elle I am so sorry you felt that way! How strange is it that a place can bring back memories like that isn't it? I don't think that anyone I have known has had a reaction to the anesthesia. That is not a good thing at all! I am glad to hear he is doing a little better today. You are such a wonderful person to be comforting me when your the one that needs some TLC and a few days to cheat on your diet lady! hehe

Hope he feels better soon and is able to keep more down and that you are able to relax for a few minutes!

I'm so sorry that your DH was sick after the surgery. That must have been so miserable for him, especially since he couldn't keep his pain pills down. I hope that he is feeling better.

I think I was just going through some stress of being back in the hospital and the day being so much like that of the D&C. Friday I got to feeling better and the uncontrollable crying has definitely disappeared.

DH is doing much better. He has quit the pain meds so he is in a good bit of pain but he is recovering well and is able to work from home today. He is not sleeping well at all so he is quite grumpy but we went for a short walk on Sunday and we baked some cookies so he was at least out of bed for a while.

TTC news: AF came yesterday and I have been having some truly terrible cramping to go with it. But I was soooo excited about it. I have my 2 month beta test tomorrow and I am going to ask my doctor if we can shift the 3 month up a week as soon as we get the results. . . IF she says yes we could be TTC this cycle!!!!!!!!!! I cant help it just the thought of that has me jumping for joy. I so so so so so hope she says yes!!!!!!!!

Yay for AF! I'm telling you I think I wouldn't be able to wait to start TTC again. What's one week, really? Did you all conceive naturally last time around?

Poor husband. Men can be such babies about being sick and in pain. I hope his shoulder heals quickly.

We did conceive naturally last time. So I am really hoping to do it again. . . I had a lot of trouble having periods after quitting BCP last April but it seems my miscarriage may have actually "reset" my body because things have been a little more normal in that aspect.
