Ari I'm going to wait until Saturday. That's only 8 dpo though. You're not testing for awhile right? Kel and I will have to commiserate, get our BFPs, and wait for you to join us

Kel basically a dip like that could indicate implantation. But it doesn't necessarily indicate anything. I was looking at charts (because let's be honest I'm a glutton for punishment) and with some PG charts there are two-day dips.
Here's a quick run-down from FF Implantation dip study and this which debunks it Kindara Fertility - Implantation dip is not a reliable indicator of pregnancy.

With me coming off of an IUD, it has been extremely helpful. Two of my three cycles I would have completely missed ovulation had I relied solely on OPKs. Both times I surged, didn't ovulate, and did later. So for me it was beneficial. Personally I think OPKs are stressing me out more!

I agree about the implantation dip. I was preg one cycle and had the dip and another where I didnt so I have a hard time feeling like it means too much.

I am keeping everything crossed for you ladies!! Hoping for a BFP boom on this board

Testing at 8 DPO you are unlikely to see anything so dont be discouraged if you don't. I think it is FF that shows less than 10% of women who are pregnant and test at 8 DPO get a positive. I always did though negatives 7-11 DPO with FMU and the first positives I saw were at 11 DPO in the evening.

So hopeful for you Em!!

Thanks Elle, totally agree. I'd like to try to wait longer if possible.

My LP was 12 days last month, 10 days before that, and it seems like my cycles are shortening up (yay!). So I can't really know when my period will be due. I'm going to assume a week from today, and that's being conservative.

The only reason I'm testing so early is because I Did get a BFP @ what I believe was 8DPO with my angel baby. It was a DG test, and I tested in the bathroom at work b/c I just had that gut instinct. I waited for a couple mins, didn't see anything, took the test back to my office with me, and when I sat down.......it was there.

Em- how many cycles have you been TTC?

TGIF for realz.

First, TTC stuff. 7DPO today and got a .5 jump after my drop yesterday. Really, really hoping that was implantation. My chart is looking sa-weet. Pretty hard not to put stock into that jump today -- haven't had a temp that high yet, especially when I'm still at least 5 days away from my period. I was so warm last night -- DH slept with a comforter on, I slept with nothing. I woke up really dizzy today. It didn't hit me until I got out of bed. But until I see otherwise, I'm going to chalk it up to sinuses so I don't drive myself crazy. And the sore breasts continue and feel worse this morning.

Other than that, I'm really excited for this weekend. I've got a 5k tomorrow (Steelers 5k where you finish in the stadium!) and my younger sister and her BF are taking DH and I to a Pirates game where Third Eye Blind is performing!!!! They are one of my all-time favorite bands, and for those of you who follow baseball, this is the first winning season the Pirates have had in 20 years and they are KILLING IT. So Pittsburgh is going crazy right now. It's all very exciting, and this game is very important tomorrow night.

I'm also tailgating on Monday for a Pitt game (University of Pittsburgh) so I have a full weekend full of 'Burgh sports. My dad passed away shortly before I graduated college, and I think of how excited he must be to see me enjoying all of these teams

I know, I've been here since early April I think? It just took soooo looooong (nearly 3 months) to get my first period after IUD removal. So yeah, TTC has been on my mind since I made that initial removal appt in March.

8dpo today. Had a decent race this morning, didnt hit my target time, but it was a bit unrealistic considering the humidity.

I'm just bummed today. I don't know exactly why, but I just want to cry. I went up to DH when he was working outside and just told him how worried I was about something being "wrong" and it taking forever to have a baby. Everything is making me emotional today -- a commercial about dogs, hearing "Simple Man" on the radio. And I foolishly tested this afternoon after a 2hr hold and got a BFN. Dumb I know. Sigh. I think I need a beer.

Wow. Reading my above post, Saturday Em had no idea what was coming

Other than the very sore boobs from like, the day after I ovulated, I didn't have many other symptoms that I could definitively attribute to being pregnant. This Sunday I started having a few hot flashes, and I realized now that coffee just wasn't hitting the spot in the morning like it normally does. I would still want it, but when I started drinking my usual cup, I didn't want it anymore after about 1/4 of the way.

I'm still shocked, but it's settling in a little bit more. Mostly I'm just nervous about having a miscarriage for no reason other than, well, it's scary! But I just keep telling myself it's out of my hands and in God's now. Worrying won't do a **** thing.

My latest progression pics:
Answer tests from 11DPO a.m. and from tonight at 12 DPO

And Wondfos from afternoon of 10DPO to tonight, 12DPO

First Dr. Visit:
It was a bad first visit.

Nothing is wrong, but I saw a new doctor who is new to the practice. She did a quick internal exam, did an STD test, felt around a little.

She was like, "Well you're definitely pregnant but you're very, very, very early. Usually I tell the staff not to schedule women until 6 weeks because there is a chance that the pregnancy won't continue. It's not even a baby right now, it's nothing, and some women don't even know that they are pregnant because they get what they think is their period."

Talk about deflating, right? Of course when she sees the look on my face she tacks on, "But everything looks fine, so I have no reason to believe that any complications will arise."

Yeah, no crap, lady. I'm well aware of what could happen. I'm well aware that I'm early. And I'm well aware that you have liability reasons to give me that info but that you also completely lack any tact whatsoever.

So instead of being excited that I'm nearly 5 weeks (and that my due date is May 11) I left worried and upset. Stupid, asinine doctor.

I'd file a complaint. No two ways about it. I should have filed one against my OB too.. but didn't.

People dont understand how choice of words can be so confusing and make you second guess yourself, and in that profession....you would certainly think they'd know how to verse themselves to NOT cause a new expecting mother to panic.

Saying something like "You are indeed pregnant, congratulations! You're very early, so we will use caution but everything is looking great so far!"
Sounds a heck of a lot better than what she said!

I have a name I'd refer to her as but I dont think Just Mommies would like it

Dont let yourself get discouraged because she's a dip. Go look at those pee sticks and that beautiful line you have.

***.....That pisses me off just reading it! How inconsiderate! GGGGRRRRRR......Well I will say what she didn't, " Congratulations! You are very early in your pregnancy so we will take some precautions but all in all it looks fantastic!" See, I would make a great doctor!

I am a little late to this party, but congrats Em!!! I am so happy for you!!

Don't let that completely tactless doctor get you down. We know all the risks, but this is what you have been waiting for!
