So I went to see the eye specialist yesterday. I have what is called Browns Syndrome in my left eye. Basically the muscles on the top of the eye are really tight, and the eye is not able to look up to the right with out a lot of pain. I have been referred to a surgeon off island who may or may not preform the surgery, normally this surgery is done on children, so he is a pediatric eye surgeon, lol. Oh the fun!

Does that mean you get jello & ice cream after the op?!! Hope he can do the surgery.

I don't know, lol... when I had my last eye surgery, I was 6, and my grandmother spoon fed me jello. My mom was so busy with my little brother (who was a month old) that my grandmother had to step in....... Fond memories.

The surgery when I was 6 was a muscle strengthening surgery. It was supposed to make my left I do equal work as my right eye... but it didn't work. The only time I use my left eye is if my right eye is close or blocked (I wore an eye patch for many many years). The specialist that I recently saw told me that it appears what they did when I was 6 created a new problem on top of an already existing problem. I am fine with how my eyes are now, I am used to it, and deal with it, but the double vision is getting worse, and I am getting more migraines than ever. Dh and I think it is about time something be done.

Funny thing is, I had to request records, and he is still practicing.... I thought he was old when I was a kid...
