I've been making siggies for years now and it may have been this way all along. But I keep noticing that my siggies don't look as good on here as they do elsewhere. I realized it is because they are automatically being resized smaller. When I pull up the properties of the photo it doesn't say "scaled down..." but they are. I use Firefox for my browser. When I right click on the photo and select View Img Info I can see a full size version of the siggy I made at the bottom of the box it brings up. And it looks correct there. I know that 600px is the largest JM posts without resizing, but I make my siggies smaller than that. So I tried resizing the siggy to only 500px and it still made it smaller.
Grrr! I don't know if it is just firefox or if it is JM. I don't like that my siggies lose quality when I post them. But I guess it's doing it to everyone else's as well.
yeah firefox and JM dont seem to get along i noticed the same thing with it LOL it was freaking me out and the fonts got smaller too and i couldnt figure out why and it was ONLY on JM LOL so i just switched over to chrome cause yeah...it annoys me
I use Firefox and don't have that issue. When I bring out the "View Image Info" box, the siggy that it shows is identical to the one I see in posts. *shrugs* It doesn't shrink it for me.
When i read this I checked my kids computer, which had been mine until recently. I had never noticed it on that computer. Sure enough it doesn't do it. But my current one does. I don't know why. Now this really boggles my mind. My kids probably have an older version of FF, whereas I have the newest version. Maybe that is the difference. But FF makes updates, so I don't know if the older version has all the updates that make it the same as the new version. Other than that I'm not sure what the issue could be.
i dunno sharon it boggled my mind too! LOL cause it happened from one click to the next with me i was on one page of jm and i clicked a link to go to another and BOOM it re-sized everything then i went to other websites and they were fine? i even used the button at the top to report technical issues...but i never got a response LOL it still does it on my FF and its been a couple of weeks (or more?) so i just stick to chrome cause it just annoys the heck outta me seeing it like that
