Hi all, anyone interested in swapping some recipes? DH and I are eating out WAY too much and I am going today to buy groceries. DH can cook, but we usually refuse anything that takes much effort.

I am looking for some recipes that air on the side of healthy (nothing fried) and they are quick and easy. Anything baked is great. Unfortunately I am a very picky eater. I love pastas and chicken the best. I know for those of you who cook often, you can't possible cook like they do on tv, right? I mean, who has time for that. I am tired after work, usually have a sink full of dirty dishes and prefer to grab something on the way home or microwave something. We do a lot of oven pizzas, and hamburger helper.

So anyway, I just thought I'd see if anyone has recipes to swap here. Could be fun.

I HIGHLY recommend browsing through the Kraft Foods recipes and signing up for their magazine (free).

That is a huge help!

Oh and yes, I love chicken and mushroom soup.

I wish I could take a cooking class or something. A "how to cook after a long hard day at work when all you want to do is make siggys" cooking class.

LOL

This is a favorite in my house!

Ingredients:
4 Chicken Breasts (thawed if you're using frozen)
1 box of Stove-Top Stuffing mix - I use Chicken but almost any flavor is fine
1/4 cup butter cut into pieces
1/3 cup sour cream or Milk
1 Can Cream of mushroom soup

Spray 8x10 pan with oil
Place chicken breasts in pan

Mix together Stuffing-mix, butter pieces and 1 1/2 Cups HOT water - Set aside.

In a small bowl, combine soup and sour cream or milk. (I prefer sour cream). Spoon this mixture over the chicken breasts.

Top with Stuffing Mix

Bake at 350-degrees for 30-40 minutes.

Check the chicken with a knife at 30 minutes to see if it's cooked throughout. If not - replace in oven and check again in 5-10 minutes.

This is SO yummy!I never ate cream of mushroom soup until i tried this!

I had something very similar to this last weekend...the only difference was my aunt used cream of chicken soup instead of the cream of mushroom and it was served with rice...yummo!!!

Chicken and Broccoli with pasta.

Cook chicken in skillet with a little oil (olive) and some Emeril's seasoning. In a pot, steam broccoli (I usually use frozen baby broccoli). In a second pot make pasta of your choice - I usually make penne.
Once the chicken and broccoli are done - add broccoli to the skillet with the chicken and add shredded parmesan cheese. Once the cheese is melted you are ready to eat!
I sometimes add a little grated parm to the pasta too - quick and easy!

I have ALOT of quick and easy recipies - let me know like the sound of any of these:
Burger Bundles
Mixed veggies with chicken and bisquits
Italian beef soup
Onion soup chicken

The stuffing one sounds yum...Campbells has one on the cream of chicken label right now where you add uncooked rice, cr of chicken soup and water, chicken breasts and top with cheese...you can veggies, celery etc to the rice too...it is good...

I like to cook small pork chops with cr of mushroom soup in the oven and then serve with rice

I'm super picky and DH does 99% of the cooking. So here's the one and only recipe that I don't mind making... and it's really good! It's one of DH's favorites.

Velveeta Pizza Casserole

Ingredients:
1 Package of Velveeta Shells & Cheese dinner (cook as directed on package and set aside)
1 or 2 lbs ground beef (cooked and drained)
2 15oz cans pizza sauce
1 16oz package mozzarella cheese (grated or shredded)
1 package sliced pepperoni

Optional: any of these can be added to shells & cheese dinner
1 7 oz can of Mushrooms, 1 green bell pepper, 1 small onion, 1/2 or 1 cup of green or black olives
If you use any of the optional items, cut them up fine. (I'm picky so we don't add any of this)

Mix the cooked ground beef with pizza sauce. Layer meat mixture, Velveeta shells & cheese, pepperoni, then mozzarella cheese. Repeat until everything is used up. (I use a 9x13 pan)

Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until hot all the way through.

Enjoy!
