Wondering what you all do for Easter?

I need a new idea.
I have hid mini eggs but the kids don't eat them after they find them. One likes easter cream eggs, the other doesn't. I have done an outside egg hunt using 3 (per kid) plastic egg with various items inside but am not sure I want to continue doing this as I have to buy new plastic eggs every year because the kids either end up playing with them or losing them.

Any ideas?

You could do a hunt, and tell them to only find the eggs they like
or have them hunt for a big basket, with their name on it, that way they all get the stuff they like.

For the last few years me and my soon to be X would take the children to a church function. Where they have a easter hunt age app. and hide like over 10,000 eggs per age group in a huge field and each child gets plenty of eggs, inside they get to play easter theme games and activities with a jump gym inside and face painting and tons of other fun things for the children. It is fun for them and us as well. It is a community function and you don't have to belong to the church to attend, they sometimes charge like a 5 or 10 dollar admission, i have to say that it is also what we do for halloween. Good luck but just an idea.

That is a good idea. We don't have anything like that around here.
Anything outside is hard to plan because (in N.S.) the weather is so unpredictable. We could have a snow storm or it could be nice enough to wear t-shirts.

Dh is supposed to be heading an activity group, I'll have to get him to add this to his list.

we did a treasure hunt for our 4 yr old. i would give her a clue, which would lead her to another clue hidden in an egg,and so on and so on. it would eventyually lead to her basket that we hid. she loved it and asked if the bunny was going to do it again this year.

i also hid 50-75 eggs real and plastic for her in our back yard, that is a thrill for her. i buy one large golden egg ( plastic) that has a special surprise either a paper with a note telling ehr where to go or something that will fit in the egg.

alot of the parks here in florida do alot of easter hunts and what not as well.

We just hide the eggs inside and out all day until they are too tired to ask us to hide them again.
