Do you think that coats with fuzzies around the hat part are just for girls?

I know you're thinking what the heck lol, I went and got Joe a new coat - in the boys section at burlington and it has the fake fur around the top of the head (surrounding his face when it's up). My husband insists this is a GIRLY thing and I'm starting to notice that I only see girls with these on... Joe loves it, he doesn't think it's girly and he says it helps keep his face warm. It does "zip" off so he doesn't have to use it on the coat but he likes it so he does. So what do you think - girly or not girly?

What kind of fuzzies are we talking? If it's fleece type fuzzy stuff, then no that's not girly. But if it is long, sort of hair-like fur then I might consider that girly. The main thing is if your son likes it, who cares?

Also though I've seen men's ski coats like that, but usually it's for the REALLY REALLY cold mountainous areas. Just for school and stuff yeah I'd probably consider it girly. I agree who cares, but on the other hand, kids are cruel so jsut be ready for one of the other boys to possibly poke fun (depending upon the age group).

lol, well he came home from school and said that several people said it was a girls coat so he took the fuzzies off. Thankfully they just zip off. Nothing else about the coat is at all girly, but the fuzzies.

No, I don't think it is only for girls. In fact, we got DS a coat from Gap that has the faux fur on it. It zips off but he prefers it on.

As long as the fur or the coat is not a girly color.... I have seen boy coats that have the fur...
