Do any of you give your kids Omega-3 supplements? I have heard they help with mood and immunity.

We give the girls an Omega3 but I thought they are for "brain support"? It was recommended by our peditrician.

Good, glad I'm not the only one thinking that!
We started giving them to Kaylee when we noticed she was having a harder time focusing on things at school. not sure if the Omega's are what helped but her focusing improved ALOT within the 1st 2 weeks of her taking them!

^ REALLY? I wonder if they would work for my daughter? So where do you get yours at? I saw some on Dr Sears website that were like $22 for I think 60 gummy fish. Is that about what yours cost?

Whoa that's expensive! I get 400 soft gels (which is for kids too) for $9 at Costco. Maybe look there if you have a card? They don't necessarily have to be "for kids" most of the regular adult ones have a child's dose on the bottle (typically half of what an adult would take). Personally I take them daily, but do not give them to my son. If you don't have a Costco card, then I would check places like Wal-Mart and Target versus a website. Most things in that regard are more expensive on websites than in your local stores (which run sales as well).
If your daughter likes fish you can really get just as much benefit from fish such as Salmon, tuna, sardines, cod, and many others. You don't have to take a pill version if she enjoys eating fish 1-2 nights a week.

I love fish but we dont have it very much because my husband doesnt eat fish. I did buy some flax seeds today which are also high in Omega 3 and other fatty acids. I think I am going to give that a try and see if I see a difference.

Be careful with Flaxseed. I think for what you are looking for, fish oil supplements would probably be safer. JMO though.
Flaxseed and health
