What sorts of things do you do the night before to help prep your gradeschooler in the morning?
We always have the bags packed, lunches made and clothes out in the morning. It is a necessity for me to have these done the night before. Getting 4 kids dressed and out the door by 8am is pretty tricky!
Honestly, I don't do anything for them. We feel it is their responsibility to have what they need for school ready so we can leave in the morning. We taught them the system, and we expect they follow it and are prepared each day
Brendan clothes, socks, shoes and jackets are laid out in the morning I think I should start getting him to pick out the stuff for school time since he wants to be independent.
I make Nichole's lunch the night before and sign her folder and all that.
She picks her own clothes out, either the night before or in the monring, she is not picky about what she wears, if I say "hey you want to wear this" she'll be like sure
I was used to getting everything ready the night before from when I worked early mornings, so it would all be set for my mom who was babysitting. I still do as much as I can in advance.

Nat we try to pick out her clothes and if she's packing her lunch we take care of that. With my oldest, nothing. She picks out her clothes and rarely packs her lunch.
