So Brandon's parent/teacher conference went FABULOUSLY!! His grades are as follows (they're on a percentage, then the non academic stuff is E=Excellent, S=Satisfactory, etc):
Language Arts: 100%
Uses class time wisely, completes homework, works cooperatively, respects others, demonstrates responsibility are all E's for excellent
Comments: Excellent effort and positive attitude in class.
The reading placement test that they put them through tests his reading level as well as comprehension and he is reading at a 6th grade level (he's in 4th). And he has mastered all of his times tables and she is moving him onto division in order to continue to challenge him.
She said he does still talk in class, but not nearly as much and that he is always asking questions and tries very hard, and does very well, speaks like an adult, is very inquisitive, etc. So it was a GREAT report!
And he is on the Principal's Honor Roll for this quarter.
Well, he's really not a hard worker, lucky for him, stuff just comes very easily to him. He's a smart *****...just like his father LoL. He was tested about 3 weeks ago for the gifted program, that's just the way he is.
Great kid, well yes on some levels, but he's very trying as well on many levels. Because he's very advanced for his age, he wants freedoms and such that IMO his maturity level isn't ready for and his size and overall age isn't ready for, so it can make for some heated arguments and frustration for sure.
He's not a bad kid by any means, but he's not a normal 10 year old either and so that in itself can lead to some issues.
