hi everyone, I'm Emma (28) - Mummy to two girls, Emersyn who is 16 months old & my brand new gradeschooler - Gaby, who turned 5 today! I live in NZ & they start school at age 5 over here, which I think is a year earlier than in the States? We had no problems with me having to leave - I don't think she could have cared less that I was leaving but that's good... She loves her teacher and has already made some friends, so I think she felt quite comfortable as soon as we arrived. I admittedly shed a few tears on the way from her classroom to the car
here are some photos
in her uniform, at about 7.30am we didn't have to leave til 8.30am
she had a great day, couldn't wait to go back this morning.. although when she asked how many years she's do to school for, and I said 13, she replied "oh... think I might just stay 4 forever then...". LOL.
