I try to limit it but it seems everytime I turn around she has the disney channel on. It seems like she is watch too much tv, I would rather her read a book or play, she just isn't intrested.

I don't think she watches much TV through the week. She might watch about 20 minutes in the morning while eating breakfast and waiting to leave for school. And maybe an hour in the evenings? We're pretty busy right after school, getting homework done, going to Girl Scouts or dance, playing, reading, dinner/bathtime, etc. I wouldn't say the hour is a straight hour, it's a little bit here and there.

They also don't have a TV in their room, so the only TV she watches is in the living room, and it's sometimes being watched by me or DH.

Maybe 30min or so a day during the week. Maybe and hour or 2 over the weekend. We stay pretty busy so not a lot of time to sit and watch.

We try to limit them to not more than an hour a day during the week and a couple hours on the weekends.

Not much. No TV at all during the week (well once in awhile he'll watch news with his dad in the AM while he's eating b-fast before school, but it's only like 15 minutes). Weekends maybe 2 hours at best...unless we watch a movie.

Not much, maybe 15 minutes a day, unless we watch a movie after dinner. None of my kids are real interested in TV.

We rarely have the tv on in our house. Weeks will go by without the kids watching tv.

It's on but as to how much they watch, that's a different matter! Jaidyn will have the TV on in the background but will play, colour etc until something she really wants to watch comes on, but even then she is constantly on the move while watching it!

About a straight hour or so at night.

On in the background as he prefers to draw from his drawing book or playing with his toys.

Actual TV...maybe 2 - 3 hours a week including weekends. A little more if we include videos. We don't have cable and most of what they watch are things we can all watch together.

Anna likes TV, but I try to limit it to 1-1.5 hours a day. Usually around 5 PM in the after noon she watches some kiddy tv with her sister so that I have my hands free while cooking And then in the evenings after bath time and before bed time they watch for a while. In the weekends it's more, but just in the evenings; during the ways we're often busy with grocery shopping, visiting family/friends, piano, etc.
