Or is that everywhere?? Hmm.

Anyway, I imagine the stores are going to be jam packed and IMO the savings aren't really worth it - of course I'm not buying a lot so that's probably why! But I do have to get groceries today so I may go ahead and torture all of us and get some school shopping done too. Mainly clothes is what we need!

obviously the more you spend, the more you'll save. I'm sure BIG items are where the most people will be (cars, tv's, appliances, furniture, ect) I wish we had a tax free weekend! tho, it's not like I have the money to take advantage of it!

if you were to knock out all the clothes shopping today (and in one or two stores) it may be worth it!

Best of luck to ya!!

We don't have tax free weekends here. That works out if you have school clothes and shoes and things like that to buy!

No such luck here! Although kids clothes and shoes aren't taxed here.

It's only good on school supplies and clothes, no savings on anything else! Our stores were prepared for it though, it was like Christmas with crates and boxes of clothes down the centers of the isles full of uniform shirts/pants and underwear, socks ect. Crazy!

Nope not everywhere because that doesn't exist where I am. Ours is over 10% tax between state and city, we're taxed 9.3% and then an additional 2% for city. That's nice, but like you I don't really spend enough to make it a huge issue.
