What did your gradeschooler take for lunch, or what are they eating at school today?

Mine packed a lunch today, they each took 2 sandwiches, some sweet peppers, apple slices, home made herb and parmesan crackers and some cheetos as a treat.

My kiddo is almost 11 but doesn't eat a ton for lunch. He had 1/2 sandwich (double fiber bread, some turkey, cheese, lettuce and pickles), and a 100% juice fruit cup with a small bottle of G2 Gatorade (since we're still around 110) with a nutri-grain bar for snack in the AM.

You are exactly right! It is made from sunflower seeds. There is a child in their class that has a severe allergy to all types of nuts, so the sunbutter is a great alternative. There is also soybutter made from soy beans. The brands that I buy are both produced in a peanut free facility, so I assume they all are, but I don't know that for a fact.

Here is a link to the sunbutter we buy

HTH!

I forgot to say that it comes in creamy and crunchy just like peanut butter

Brinlee takes her lunch everyday. Yesterday she had a turkey & cheese sandwich, carrot sticks, cherry tomatoes, applesauce and milk. Today she took leftover chicken quesadillas from dinner last night, a small cup of salsa, some tortilla chips, mandarin oranges and a juice box.
