So, the time has come that I am going to try and change my son's teacher. She and I have butted heads, she and him butt heads, it has been a challenging year and we're only a couple of months into it.

So, I have a meeting with the principal early next week. Here's hoping I don't have too much of an issue to change his teacher. I just don't think the combo class is working for him and/or it's a huge personality conflict between him and her I don't know...or a combo of the 2.

Wish me luck!

Here's hoping! Combo class and/or this teacher is definitely not for us. Huge personality conflict between us all. So, hoping that it isn't an argument and is just an easy switch.

Good Luck... no use in having an awful year if it's already not working!

Yep! I think the combo class is a bad idea and I'm sick of his teacher saying she doesn't have time. I was a good sport, gave it a chance, but it's been a disaster since day one and I'd rather move on with someone else at this point.

It went better than I expected. Going to have a meeting with the teacher, principal, and me next week sometime and if I still feel it isn't a good fit (which I'm going to), then we're going to mvoe him and have him start fresh after fall break.

Good luck. I hope it all works out! If I could have switched my daughter's first and second grade teacher (the same woman), I would have. Her school is SO small that they only have one teacher per grade, though :/
