He has a lot of 2's which are Need Improvements and the S are Satisfactory . The 3's are where they are supposed to be his DRA is right in the grade level for Reading. The S's are below G's.

So I want to get his 2's up to 3's for mid Jan is when 2nd quarter will end. So when you see the 2's can you be able to give me links to help with his Need Improvements.

Wow, that is a lot of categories. One thought - ask his teacher if she expects to the kids to be on "3" all year if they are doing well, or if "3" is the goal by the end of the year. Do you know what I mean? Last year I asked Matt's kindergarten teacher a similar question, because every assignment he brought home was perfect, but his report card didn't exactly reflect that. She told me that some of the goals were for later in the year.

The 2's are Need Improvements but the 3's are Meet Grade expectations so more likely the teacher expects them to have 3's to meet the expectation of that grade level as there will more categories added on to the grading for now this is the first quarter.

Beginning of the first quarter used to be catch up and review of the previous work but now this year they jumped right into it without reviewing or any catch up work.

Reports and Oral Presentations . When an adult who is not his Mom he cowers as in back down. So no one taught him about Solo Speaking in front of class of 26 kids and 1 teacher.

He only knows about the Ordering Food Speaking or Sharing about Ben 10,Ninjago ,Adventure time characters.

He acts them out in front of only 1 person .

I would speak with his teacher and see if she has any links on what could help you help him at home or if she could send home things for you to work with him on, if she'd be willing to tutor him before and/or after school, or if she could recommend a tutor. I know in our area some of the high school students will tutor the elementary and Jr. High students for $2-$3 per hour as it helps them earn some extra money as well as community service time which they need to graduate.

It sounds to me like your report card is based on the state standards for you state and how far in to the year the teacher has taught to those standards. I'm sure a lot of those 2's will become 3's as the year progresses. He's doing great!

Wow is all I can say!! School report cards in the UK are so different! That is a heck of a lot of information!
