The science fair project, or, poster I should say as he didn't get to take his actual project in. What a horrible experience it was. There were reports, I literally lost count of how many reports he had to write and then the data book, and all the pre-project stuff. By the time we actually did the experiment we were sick of it! Then last minute she requested another report and honestly it was just the same information over and over again. At the end she wanted him to tell her about the "positive learning experience" he had and had to make something up because he said he wanted to write that he didn't, that it was horrible and he would rather do 15 pages of math a night for 2 months than do that project again! That's just sad, good job on making kids hate science Ms D! Ugh! We were up till midnight finishing the board - since it was all he could take in we really wanted it to look great! So it was turned in this morning (right about now he should be in that class actually) I hope he gets a good grade. He really did work hard!
The older kids I've talked to said they do this same thing every year through 8th grade so I want to just sit and cry thinking about doing it again next year.
She posted the grade online but not the breakdown of points, he got a B and I'm kind irritated with that because he worked so hard on that and we made sure he covered every single thing she wanted on it. So I'm really curious where he lost points.
