For the past week or so my uterus has been tightening up a LOT at night. Sunday we walked a few blocks to the park and played for a while, then yesterday I was out shopping with my BIL and my stomach was hard all night. It worried me so I called my dr this morning-the nurse called back and said for me to get lots of rest and drink lots of water and I go in at 11am to see the dr tomorrow. I hope everything is ok!! I was feeling baby a lot at night, now I feel it here and there during the day but not at all at night....it worries me when I don't feel him/her a lot since I was quite a bit.

***UPDATE***

I finally got into the dr and explained what was happening. She told me that it def was not normal for me to be having them this strong this early (I'm only 15 weeks). I told her I knew what they were because I had them with Kinley-she checked my cervix-still closed and long which is good. She gave me some muscle relaxers because she said at this point, she can't give me anything to stop contractions because it wouldn't work. She wasn't too concerned about them, but she does think that since they've already started this soon, that I'll more than likely continue to have them throughout my pregnancy. She said to call if the pills don't work or if they keep getting stronger or if the become more consistent. I go back on Dec 2 for my big u/s and for my next dr apointment I hope the muscle relaxers start to work! Oh and baby's heartbeat was 160....and I've lost 2 lbs....which puts me at a total weight gain of -2lbs since I got pregnant!

I'm sure everything is ok but at least you'll have an appointment to help ease your concerns. Let us know how it goes.

It's pretty normal. I was told that they occur earlier with each pregnancy. I started having them more around 12-13 weeks.

KUP!

I've been having Braxton-Hicks for some time now. I'm 28 or 29 weeks now; not sure when I started having them but it's been awhile.

^was your doctor concerned about them??

My dr wants to see me to check on everything-I'm sure she will say everything is normal, but I just want to be sure-esp since I haven't been feeling baby move quite as much lately.
