wow a monthly plan would be good. i really like using fresh ingredients though, so i sometimes even find that i want to hit the store more than once a week. i usually try to plan out the week though. maybe if i had a bigger freezer i'd be more into freezing everything

I have a huge deep freeze. LOVE IT. I freeze anything freezable. We like to make our own sauces and salsas, and i find it easiest to make up a big batch and freeze it in servings, so when i need it with a recipe, I already have it. Much less hectic for this mommy.

I like to freeze casseroles as well.. if I make enough at a time.. but I havent got it perfect just yet. I still need to read the stickies here for tips!

I plan mine for 2 weeks. It is a great way to use up stuff in your cabinets and freezers.

Oh and we make homemade soups and always freeze the broth to add to the next soup.

I plan by the week. Every once in awhile, I plan for two weeks at a time.

Some times I make weekly plans and other times I don't. I feel like I cook better meals when I plan.
