Hey Everyone!

I'm new to this forum and I've got 2 very active kids that are starting to get into swimming and soccer. This makes for a very hungry household and I was wondering if you ladies had any suggestions on iPhone apps that could help me keep my food costs down, but still maintain a nutritious diet. I've tried Fooducate and Grocery IQ, but I didn't like that I had to scan EVERY SINGLE BARCODE to add it to my shopping list. Is there anything that you guys use?

Thanks!

Thanks for the welcome! I've got two boys, 10 and 8. I know there are a bunch of apps out there, but I want to know if there are any that are "Mother Tested."

Thanks!

I like using Remember the Milk to keep track of my to-dos, like shopping lists. One way to save money is to not buy anything you don't need!

Cool thanks! I'll check out Remember the Milk. But does it suggest recipes as well? For example if I have some left over tomato sauce, and the kids don't want to eat spaghetti again, can it suggest other tomato sauce based recipes to choose from?

No ... it's just a to-do list.

Wow. I'm so sorry I missed this! Welcome!

I don't use an app. But for recipes based on specific ingredients, check out supercook.com I love that site when I'm at a loss.

I really like the allrecipes dinner spinner. The paid version lets you search by ingredient, make lists, and even have access to your recipe box on the website. I only have the free version, but I love it. However, the paid version is more what you want I think. It's $2.99
