How do you find motivation when you have a long to-do list and no desire to do any of it?

With a reward! LOL! My reward is always some scrapbooking time. If I get my list finished then I get some time to myself scrapbooking.

I also remind myself that if it doesn't get done, than it will still be there to do later...and in some cases (like cleaning) it might even be worse than it is "now" and would take even more time and motivation to get it done. After reminding myself of the added time and motivation I would need to do it later I usually opt to just get it done and out of the way now.

Getting started is the hardest part for me. I'm not very good at pulling myself away from something I enjoy. Once I get rolling, the momentum makes it easier to keep going.

For me, actually writing down a list of what needs to be done is really helpful. In my head it feels pretty overwhelming but if I can put it down on paper, I can focus on one thing at a time (and it also keeps me from forgetting anything). It's also pretty satisfying to scratch things off the list as they get done.

LOL Ash! Yea, most of my "not getting things done" time is spent talking to you.
