When planning my kids birthdays, I usually start by picking a theme. If they are younger I would choose something they seemed to be really in to that year. Once they get older then they can help you brainstorm theme ideas. My next step is picking a date and sending invitations. I make all of my kids invitations so I usually get a pretty good head start on planning their birthdays. After invites, I will work on deciding on what to do for their cake, decorations, and food. So far all my kids have only had birthday parties that were just the family, but this year DD starts kindergarten so will be having a friends party too. So I will have to add activities to the list of things to think of. Gift bags for the guests seem to be a bid thing around here, so those would probably be the last thing I plan before the party.
Great video by the way. I like that it is to the point and informative!
