I have a $65 budget and need to prepare a dinner party for 7 women (all mom's). I need some creative ideas. I want it to be food that we wouldn't have with our kids so no pasta, chili, pizza or other go to dinners for busy moms.

I joined this group after searching for "party planning" discussion boards - please help me out with any suggestions.

Do you have a Costco membership? Their meat is really cheap. I'd go there and check out their meat and produce. Personally, I'd probably do whatever meat caught my eye, roasted veggies, and maybe a salad. You can even buy a dessert and wine there!

You could do a fondue party. Hmmm...the pots can be expensive so if you don't already have one that might be a bad idea. If you do have one you could look online for recipes and ideas. First you could do a cheese fondue with different platters of items to dip. Then you could do a chocolate recipe with dessert items for dipping.

Maybe a chicken dish of some sort with a side of veggies.

Here is a Chicken Cordon Bleu Recipe that I really like: Chicken Cordon Bleu II Recipe - Allrecipes.com

Here is another recipe that I haven't tried yet, but plan to soon. : Pan-Roasted Chicken With Lemon-Garlic Green Beans | Real Simple Recipes
