I thought we could start a thread where we share our latest recipe adventures. Post here if you tried a new recipe that you hadn't made before, what it was, how it went over, if you made any changes, if you would make it again and if it is online you can post a link to it to share too. Also pictures if you are the type to take pictures of your food creations..

Last night I made an Irish Stout Meat Pie, it was really good!

Steak and Irish Stout Pie Recipe - Allrecipes.com

I originally found the recipe while browsing on Pinterest and had been meaning to try it out for a while. I was going to be gone from the house most of the day, and don't really like leaving stuff unattended in the oven even if I am slow cooking so I transferred this to my slow cooker. I didn't feel that 2.5 hours was long enough to make the beef tender so I did the first part of the recipe (the bacon and the meat, which I did not brown) and tossed it in the slow cooker to cook for 3 hours, then I followed the rest of the recipe from there (Step 5 ->).

It turned out great, I really recommend it!

Saturday night we had Red Snapper and I used a new coating for the fish.

Recipe: Crumb-Coated Red Snapper Recipe | Taste of Home Recipes

I also soaked the fish in 1 cup milk with 1 Tablespoon white vinegar for most of the day to get rid of that fishy taste/smell (that I really don't like!). I think it was some of the best fish I have ever had! Definitely the best fish I have ever cooked! DH really liked it too! I think Kendra would have liked and ate it better if she wasn't so stuck on the fish smell from before I soaked it. Definitely a recipe I am keeping and fixing again!

Latest was playing with this one: Spinach with Chickpeas and Fresh Dill Recipe - Allrecipes.com

I added sauteed corn and sauteed chicken and made a hot salad out of it. It was awesome!
