Do you make your own birthday cakes? Yes
If so, how fancy do you get? I have used a coloring book picture and wax paper transfer technique to decorate the top of a regular 9x13 cake as well as getting creative and making more sculpture type cakes.
Do you have pictures of some of the cakes you have made?I only have 1 of the cakes on my photobucket right now. I'll have to try to find and upload pics of some of the others.
Kendra's 5th birthday cake (party theme was pirates)
Other cakes I have made: Kendra's first birthday was the coloring page transfer of a castle on a 9x13 cake, Her 2nd birthday was a 3 layer 8x8 cake that I turned into a barn, Her 3rd birthday cake was a 9x13 with the Micky Mouse Clubhouse built on top of it, Her 4th Birthday was a 9x13 cake with Littlest Pet Shop toys stuck in it, 5th birthday shown above, 6th birthday was individual rainbow cakes in a jar. Josh's 1st birthday was a 9x13 German chocolate cake with coconut frosting and a tractor equipped with tillage equipment on top (looked like a corn field after harvest) and his 2nd birthday cake was a 3 layer 9 inch round cake turned into a tire (car themed birthday).
Show us some birthday cakes you have seen that you love! I'll have to come back to this one when I have more time.
