1 tsp Molasses
1/2 tsp Ground Oregano
1/8 tsp Ground Cayenne Pepper
1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper
1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
1 tsp Salt
2 tsp Ground Cumin
3 Tbls Chili Powder
1 28 oz. can Crushed Tomatoes in Thick Puree
1 15 oz. can Tomato Sauce
2 15.5 oz. cans Dark Red Kidney Beans, drained
1 lbs. Ground Deer
5 oz. Deer Tenderloin, diced
1 large Red Onion, diced
Shredded Cheddar as garnish
In a large sauce pan, I mixed the cans of tomato and all the seasonings. In a large skillet, I cooked the onion, deer burger, and deer tenderloin (one at a time) and added each to the sauce pan as they were done. I simmered for about 1 1/2 hours and served with shredded cheddar cheese on top. I think it would have needed more water to simmer longer.
