My DD is turning 4 at the beginning of May and wants to have a beach party. I'm planning on having it in the early afteroon, so I think some light snacks/appetizers would be fine since most people will just have had lunch.

Any ideas?

The beach is always about finger food you can grab and go. Popcorn is always great as are pretzels. I also recommend small sandwiches and a veggie tray. Cupcakes made in the small muffin tins work better than a cake.

You could serve foods in beach pails w/shovels or sand molds.

-goldfish crackers
-virgin tropical drinks
-fruit kebabs

Sounds like fun!

If you do sandwiches, get a fish cookie cutter and make little fish sandwiches.
You could also use the pails and shovels you use to make sandcastles for potato or mac salad. Use the little shovel as the spoon.

If you're going to have any adults there you could always use those little drink umbrellas. Probably not the safest fo r little ones but a great way to tie in the whole beach theme.

You can make a version of the "dirt pudding" but use vanilla pudding and crushed vanilla wafers instead of chocolate pudding & oreos. Add gummy fish instead of gummy worms.
