DH needs to loose weight. Whenever we talk about it, he just gains more. I love him they way he is, but it isn't healthy. Plus he will only wear work clothes cause he keeps outgrowing the clothes he has. He doesn't like anything green unless it is smothered in velveeta and eat a great diet of carbs, meat, and cheese/milk. Then his partents encourage a dessert with EVERY meal, (when that isn't possible, then with just dinner). When trying to loose weight for the wedding, I had to ban cookies and dessert from the apartment. He actually might have loosed some weight at that point, but I'm not sure. Anyway, he is the most he's ever weighed and he refuses to tell me his weight. He went to McD's the other night and was like "I got something healthy to eat" Really? McDs has NOTHING healthy outside of the oatmeal and fruit. He got the chicken strips. Then said "Before you say anything, I did just want to get the cookies and a shake, but I didn't, so in comparison, I ate healthy!" REALLY??

I need some health(ier) recipies so I can start packing him lunch to take to work. I found a Lite Alfredo recipie, I thought I'd make him some home made chicken fingers (baked with bread crumbs instead of deep fried), I could do some speghetti, make him some PB&Js with lite jelly, send him with a water bottle filled with Crystal Light, we do enjoy turkey burgers, but what else? The mad wont eat anything green (including lettuce), but will eat tomatos, potatoes, no carrots, no green beans (unless in a casserole), no peas, no asparagus, no sweat potatoes... He will eat corn if its SWEET corn...

For his desserts, I could do a healthy bananna bread recipie, or even the WW type desserts that you cook in the microwave...

I know I can sneak broccoli in some chicken alfredo! Maybe I can do a healthy homemade pot pie??

Suggestions and recipies appreciated!!

Edit: Oh, he can't eat sea food either.

Doesn't sound very healthy at all. I hope things start getting better. I wish I could help, but good luck. I'm not very good at variety or being creative with food.

Do you make his lunch everyday? My DH needs to loose some weight, too. I started packing his lunch for work. He gets lean meat, wheat bread, baked chips, fruit, and ONE cookie or treat.

He complained at first but just told me the other day that he's been feeling better and works longer then with greasy fast food.

There are TONS of healthy cookbooks and cookbooks with nutritional information. A lot of loosing weight is portion control as well.

I just want to say, be careful with the Crystal Lite. It has no benefits for dieting, but it's great if you liked sodas and want some tasty drinks (AKA I used it while I was weening myself from soda). But I've heard that if you're allergic to sweetener, it can be bad for you.

I am in the same boat expect S/O and i both need to lose weight. S/O doesn't like any veggies besides green beans and doesn't like sea food either. So, its hard to come up with healthy ideas for him as well. I love all veggies and seafood but i dont want to make two dinners each night so i end up just making something he likes and eating it...which makes me gain weight. I have yet to come up with a conclusion for this problem besides we have started back working out.
