I don't normally like turkey burgers, but this one is great!

Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 lb ground turkey (preferably 92-93% lean).
- 1/2 cup finely grated Gruyere cheese
- 4 thinly sliced scallions
- 1/4 cup dried breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1 minced garlic clove (I like 2)
salt and pepper
- Olive Oil

1. Heat grill to high. In a medium bowl, combine ground turkey with the above ingredients; season generously w/ salt and pepper. Form mixture into four 1" thick patties.
2. Lightly oil grill. Sear until browned...continue grilling until cooked through-5 to 10 minutes/side.

Nutrition:
1 burger (w/o bun) = 290 calories; 9.7 g fat; 7.1 g carbs

Cajun Cool Cheeseburgers--Cooking Light

-3 Tb crumbled feta cheese
-3 Tb crumbled blue cheese
-1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
-1 tsp Creole seasoning (such as Tony Chachere's)
-1/4 tsp paprika
-1/2 tsp ground red pepper
-3/4 lb ground round
-1/4 lb ground turkey breast
cooking spray
4 whole wheat hamburger buns
shredded iceburg lettuce
3/4 cup green onion tops, cut into 2" julienne strips

1. Prepare grill (I use a grill pan over my gas range)
2. Combine cheeses, set aside.
3. Combine breadcrumbs and next 5 ingredients (breadcrumbs through turkey). Divide mixture into 4 equal portions, shaping into 1/2" thick patty.
4. Place patties on grill rack coated w/ cooking spray. Grill 5 minutes on each side. Sprinkle burgers evenly with cheese mixture. Cook 1-2 minutes or until burgers are done and cheese melts.
5. Grill buns, if desired, top each patty w/ lettuce and onion tops.

This is just a plain and simple Tex-Mex Humburger. I actually made tonight! It's easy.

1 LB Ground Beef

1 large onion

3 celery sticks

2 - 2.5 tbs chilli powder (I like to use Tex-Mex by ClubHouse)

1-1.5 tbs garlic powder (or the real stuff if you like)

2 cups oatmeal / or bread crumbs

1 large egg

desired amount shredded cheddar cheese

Basically dump everything into a bowl and mix it really well with your hands (ew! but it's the best way)

Form into 3-4 inch wide patties (make sure they are nice and thick too about .5 inch or a little more) Should form around 5 patties.

Throw on grill, and enjoy!

I made this up myself...just a warning. But my DH loves them! If you like spice, try dashing in some tobasco sauce into the mix.

YAY!!! I'm so happy you liked it, you have no idea. I know it sounds stupid but I love making food that people like! I don't know why.

Cheers!

Whole wheat bread
Sliced turkey or use left over turkey from Thanksgiving
Thinly sliced apple (green or red)
Softened cream cheese
Salt & pepper to your liking
*optional* Leftover cranberry sauce from Thanksgiving, mix with cream cheese.

Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on both slices of bread, sprinkle with salt & pepper, add apple slices and press into cream cheese so they don't slide out. Add turkey and enjoy!

Odd mix but taste great, you'd be surprised!

that sounds good! I have one too

Mexican burgers with Guacamole

1 package ground beef, turkey or chicken.
finely diced red onion (to taste)
2-3 cloves garlic
Chili powder to taste (I use about 1 1/2 - 2 Tbs)
Cumin (I use half the amount of cumin as chili powder, just eyeball it)
A few shakes of hot sauce (we use Franks Red Hot)
Salt and Pepper

mix it all together and either pan fry or grill, top with cheese to melt. Serve on a bun with guacamole and a slice of tomato or on some lettuce with the Guacamole & some sliced roma or cherry tomatoes on top. Sooo Good!

Guacamole

1 or 2 avocados
Juice of one small lime
3 tbs Olive Oil
2 green onions (finely chopped)
Dash of Cumin

Peel and pit the avocado, mash it in a bowl and add the lime juice, olive oil, green onions and cumin. Mix Well

You can also use Sour Cream in place of the Olive Oil, just adjust it to taste personally, I prefer the Olive Oil.
