Post appetizer recipes here! I don't know about all of you--but I love finger food (sometimes more than the "real" food)

This is what I am making for my sister's superbowl party. They are soooo good--make these and you will get rave reviews. Even sister's BF likes them--and he hates vegetables! this recipe is so easy--the longest part is all the chopping (goes fast is you have one of those pampered chef choppers), but it is worth it!
Veggie Squares
Ingredients:
- 2 pkgs. crescent rolls
- 2 (8oz) pkgs. cream cheese
- 1 pkg. dry ranch dressing mix (Hidden Valley is the best)
- 3/4 cup of mayo
- 3/4 cup chopped carrots
- 3/4 cup chopped broccoli
- 3/4 cup chopped green pepper
- 3/4 cup chopped onion
- 3/4 cup chopped cauliflower
- 3/4 cup chopped tomatoes
1. Mix together cream cheese (soften in microwave), mayo and ranch dressing mix. Spread mixture atop cooled crescent rolls (bake per directions). Chop all veggies and mix veggies together. Spread atop the cream cheese mixture.
2. Regrigerate until firm. Cut into squares and enjoy!

- 6 whole english muffins (halved)
- 1 can black olives
- 1 1/2 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup mayo
- 1/2 tsp curry (this is what makes it!)
- 1/2 tsp salt (I find that I rarely need the salt)
1. Mix the above ingredients and spread on english muffin halves. Cut in quarters.
2. Put under broiler, 3-5 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Hmmm....in the U.S., english muffins are not sweet at all. They are like very poreous (sp?) flat bread (w/ nooks and crannies)...Thomas' English Muffins is the big brand in the U.S. I wonder if you don't have these in Canada or if they are called something different? They really aren't muffins--not sweet one's at least...I'm not sure what you could substitute-I'll have to think on that...

the veggies squares are similar to my salad pizza! I use all the same stuff, except I mix the dry ranch with sour cream and I sprinkle shredded cheese on top and cut into slices! That's soooo good. I think I'll try it with cream cheese next time!

Ok, this recipe isn't all that healthy, but if you have a party with guys present, they will love this one:
1 package cream cheese (you can get the low fat kind)
1 can of No Bean Hormel Chili
1 package shredded cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 350F. Use a glass pie plate and mash the cream cheese on the bottom of the plate. Next spread the chili over the cream cheese and then sprinkle with the shredded cheese. Bake for ~15 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve with tortilla chips and I promise the guys will love it! I make it when my husband has poker night. They are very appreciative.
