Very sad. I do not believe under any circumstances that an 11 y/o should become a mother. I am at least thankful that it appears she will have family support, for what that is worth to the newborn, at least it is not an 11 y/o and a newborn on their own.

Hi! I am, Kandie, mommy to Abigail and my niece, Sierra. Currently in school 4 days a week and working 5 days a week . . . sad to have to put Abby in daycare. Striving for a better future for my family.

Holy cow. Even if she looks older...to conceive just a week after meeting the boy. There have to be other issues there. I hope that mother goes back to school.

what paretn in their right mind would let their daughter marry a guy who knocked her up at 11?? She's obviously not old enough to be a mom seeing as how she thinks kids are toys. Glad the guy is going to jail!

A working mother is a superwoman with the extraordinary ability to balance her family responsibilities and her responsibilities as an employee.

Heh, can I be the voice of descent here?

It's a completely different culture from ours. They don't generall wait until their 20s or 30s to get married and pregnant where that girl lives. And it's not the guy's fault she's 11.. she lied to him. 19 and 15 isn't really a big deal. That girl does not look 11.. can you blame him for tanking her word on her age?

And they didn't try to get pregnant.. they were just irresponsible. I think it's ridiculous they're sending him to jail when she lied to him, and when he should be helping her raise that baby, or at least contributing financially, neither of which he can do from jail.

I doubt she thinks the baby is a toy.. I know she said "this is my new toy" but I just don't think she meant it like that. She was saying that she realizes she has to grow up. "I used to play with dolls, but now I have a real one." I dunno, it makes sense to me.

I do hope she goes back to school, though.

I feel especially bad for the baby. I would never allow an 11 year old to babysit, let alone raise a baby. So sad for all involved.

That's sad, very sad. She is much too young to be a mother. I don't think that the father should be charged though, she did lie about her age and she admits it.
